Facilities Okay, Service Terrible

We had booked a "Studio Premium Efficiency" room because it was an Expedia Pick. These are the "third bedroom" to the upstairs suites. When we arrived, the adjacent door to the other suite was open (the divider is one door with a deadbolt lock). We went to dinner and came back to the room to find two people drinking beer in the living room!! They were assigned the adjacent suite part, and made themselves comfortable. They called about the adjacent door, but after an hour, no one showed (the hotel wasn’t very busy). No apology from the hotel on the matter. The room package included a dvd player in the room. My room had no dvd player, so I had asked to be moved. I was told that I had to go back to the Reservation Desk if I wanted keys to a new room, and I had to move my things myself. The new room (no upgrade for the inconvenience) had a dvd player, but it didn’t work, and had a flickering florescent light. Maintenance had to completely replace the dvd player and the light. The location is beautiful, but the facilities seemed a bit worn. The mattress needed replacing and the furniture had lots of scratches. The food at the restaurant was good, but pricey. The service was the worst that I have seen in a while (only a few customers in the restaurant). I barely saw the server, never saw my drinks until after my food was served, and received the wrong bill with no apology given. The facility had potential, but fell short of my expectations.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Hotel is a bit out of the way. Once you exit the main highway, you are about 15 minutes of numerous roundabouts from the hotel.

Totally unimpressed with the room. Lacked warmth and comfort.

The main facility had a nice appearance and was well kept. However, the room was very plain and small. The overall comfort was very poor and all noises were easily heard.

Great hotel to take kids to

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is very laid back and relaxing place. Our kids wanted to stay longer. Definitely get a mountain view room. The only negative aspect was the construction noise during the day, it was a bit annoying.

A great weekend

This is a good size resort and although the exterior of our section of rooms was old and run down the interior was 100% enjoyable and met every expection I had. By the way the renovation of the exterior is in process. I am very hard to please regarding cleanliness and satisfaction of my room and I would go back any time to the resort. We did have the delux room which was a newly remodeled room with a fire place, balcony, full kitchen, bedroom, 2 bathrooms. There are some older rooms still but this was wonderful and felt great in it. Also there were activities to do on site and we could just stay at the resort and be entertained.

A little mislead

I was expecting the room to be more upscale and the service to be along the same lines. I was a bit dissapointed when I arrived at 2:45 p.m. and they were fairly unfriendly when they told me my room wouldn’t be ready until at least 4:00 p.m. The resort is quite a ways out of town so I had drive all the way back to Bend to wait for my room. They said they would call my cell phone when the room was ready and they never did. I needed to get some work done on my laptop while I was there and the wireless internet was down in our building the whole time. I was expecting the furniture and decor in the room to be a little nicer. It was clean, it just wasn’t as aesthetically pleasing as I had hoped. I would stay there again because it is peaceful and quiet and spacious, but I wouldn’t pay a 5 star rate for 3 star service and quality.

Seasons is the restaurant at the resort. Again, I paid 5 star rates for what I felt was a 3 star meal. I would recommend you go visit The Pine Tavern in Bend if you are looking for 5 star dining.

winter wonderland

we love how the resort is in a beautiful woodsy setting and how close it is both to bend and mt. bachelor. our favorite thing to do was sit in the outdoor hot tubs and pools and watch the snow fall. we enjoyed a very relaxing stay.

The room was great, the atmosphere was great, the plasma TV was great. Everything was great. It was an awesome weekend!!!

Check out Deep. It’s a great place to eat if you like Sushi. Portions are small so don’t go hungry!!!

Will definitely go back

beautiful, easy access to the river trails, swimming pools are clean and great for all ages, peaceful quiet evenings... can’t ask for more.

Great Location--B-Grade Finishings

Great location, very nice staff, good mix of facilities. The construction was not top notch in that you could hear people walking above, the walls seemed "thin" and the fixtures pretty cheap. Still, for the price, a very nice stay.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There is a great walk out the back door. Go down to the pond and then beyond to walk along the river. We looked for Sasquatch :-).

Quick car ride to Bend and skiing

The resort had been recently remodelled, and had everything that we needed, including kitchenette, pool, sauna, walking trails through beautiful pine forest, deck with a wonderful view. Conveniently located on the highway that took us on a short drive to either Bend or skiing.

The on-site restaurants are convenient (and more expensive), however, Bend is loaded with lots of great places to eat. The Deschutes Brewery is a local favorite that is perfect for families, and is located in the ’old town’ part of Bend.

Great place to relax!

We have stayed at Seventh Mountain Resort once before and will stay again. From the fire in the living room to the most comfortable be I have ever slept on to the outdoor gas fireplace next to the skating rink, we love it all. I would highly recommend this to my best friend. Great location only about five minutes from town.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Great little skating rink with a gazebo that has a gas fire pit to warm up by. It also has a window near the rink that you can order snacks or a cocktail from.
