Sheraton Princess Kaiulani

Would return to hotel again.

The staff and the entertainment at the hotel were great. The food was the best.

Visit the entire island if you have the opportunity. Talk to as many locals as you can, they can refer you to the best eating spots....(authentic island food spots)

Can’t wait to go back

Myself and a friend stayed at this Hotel for a week and loved everything it had to offer it was close to the beach and shopping the hotel was very clean and the staff was always helpful with any and all questions from the time that we arrived until our departure date we were always spoken to and assisted in any way The hotel is very clean and well kept and the staff I can’t say enough about them from the front desk to the maintance staff the bell man The room was very clean and always kept that way the hallways were clean and maintained the only complaint that I have is there is no air in the hall ways but who would go to Hawaii and want to stay in a hallway We truly enjoyed our stay at this Hotel and will return again Thank you to all your staff and the freindly faces of your staff

Pearl Harbor is a must after all it is part of your History The Island Tour was great we got to see and do things that I never knew were even in Ohua

Very nice hotel, everyone was very nice

We stayed on the beach our first time in Waikiki, so this was a little different, but it was very clean and also the people were very nice and pleasant. Our flight didn’t leave until 6:00p.m. the day we left and we had asked the night before if we could extend our stay. The girl at the front desk told us "no" because of the occupancy. We weren’t very happy, as we had met people by the pool, and they said they had extended thier room till 4:00p.m. So the next morning I called the front office and asked once again, and the lady said she could extend it until 1:00p.m. I asked if we could go longer and she said no! We went down to the outdoor pool bar and had a beer while we were waiting for our ride and learnt from an employee that the occupancy was very low. That was not good to hear, when we would of liked to stay longer and had been prepaired to pay extra. So that part we were disapointed in. Overall we had a wonderful stay in Waikiki.

Location - great

Although the hotel was dated and could use a face lift, it was clean and comfortable enough. The proximity to the beach and all shopping was great--we walked everywhere. Our "ocean view" room did have a view of the ocean, once you got past the roof tops. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a good value.

2009 hotel review

We love staying at this hotel. very close to everything. The staff are all very helpful, the room is clean. Very accessible to public transportation too.

Centrally located

The hotel is centrally located in Waikiki, we find it very convenient within walking distance to all the top shopping malls, shops, and restaurants, and the beach as well. Service is good, hotel is clean. We are pleased with our stay.

We had the best 4 days of our Lives!

I attended a Convention with my 9 ys old son and my husband. The hotel was ready for us when we arrived, even before the actual check in time. The beach access was just across the street. They have all sorts of activities at the lobby everyday, from Hula lessons, Pineapple cutting, hawaiian Luau with music and dances, all kinds of hawaiian crafts, wood carving etc.. Everyone was very helpful, pleasant and just WOW!

Cannot beat this hotel for the money

We have stayed at this hotel three different times. We love it because it is in the heart of Waikiki, within walking distance to everything. The Hawaiian entertainment every night is wonderful. Rooms may need a little remodeling but they are clean and spacious. We are picky about where we stay and we love this place.

Do not stay! Needs upgrades;

We were actually very disappointed. hotel was in desperate need of an upgrade. The carpets in the room were old and the bathroom looked unremodeled in 30 years. no jacuzzi The A/C was Broken. We tried to open the balcony door but the band was so loud we still couldnt sleep and we contiued to sweat all the same. This was especially hard because our 2 young children were unconfortable!

Very nice

The location of the hotel was perfect. I wish I had not rented a car. I only used it one day and could of used the bus instead. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff very friendly and professional. The room was fantastic. The bed was plush and wonderfully comfortable,(goose down comforter and 4 huge goose down pillows). The Lanai was really nice, big enough to relax and enjoy the view and breezes. I would visit again and recommend it to my friends and family.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

When staying in Waikiki everything is so close, we walked everywhere. The beaches are beautiful and clean. If you’re traveling with kids the zoo and the aquarium were very affordable and a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon. Don’t miss the sunsets on the beach!

It was OK , but -

Hotel room was small, but adequate and comfortable. Great view. Had to pay daily to use inroom safe. Trying to get housekeeping to leave clean glasses or pickup used items was very hard. Hotel entertainment was very good, daily brunch was pretty good. Electricity went off in our part of hotel for 5-6 hours one early morning, not the hotel’s fault. If you wanted to get downstairs, you had to use stairs, for us 19 flights. Checking out was terrible, we stood in line for 25 minutes just to leave room key and get our statement. Ridiculous!!

excellent for the price

Hotel has great location and loved the nightly show. Drinks and food a little pricey.

No pool

The pool is under maintenance, so we couldn’t use it. The bathroom is 20 years old. It’s not Sheraton standard. It looks like cheap motel bathroom.

Good for the price, clean bed, but the bathroom

Sheraton 3 stars is always a good option to have a good price and very good and clean bed. Sheets and towels are always changed and it is pleasant to sleep in a room like this. I am just a little bit disappointed with this hotel regarding to the bathroom because it is small, there is no extractor fan, and always needs maintenances (faucet and toilet) that can save a lot of water keeping the bathroom nice. I stayed in this hotel in Atlanta and I have noticed the same problems. Also, the frigo-bar was a disaster: dated, rusty and broken.

The concierge was always busy, so if you need some help to go around, try by yourself.

sooo impressed

This was my second trip to the Princess Kaiulani this year. The first trip was with sister and friend.I Was so impressed .Ibooked a return trip with my daughter and new Grandson. Housekeeping marvelous, friendly ,helpful staff. Fantastic free entertainment nightly.Coming in from the beach .the most delicious pineapple served by the chef.Lots of fun little extras. Two great shows Creation,Comedy Polynesia. I cant wait to return.

Did most of my shopping in lobby .unique items handmade in Hawaii by local Artisans.Lovely

Just ok

Rooms were small but clean. Shower knob fell off. Room was always muggy even with a/c on. Entire staff was friendly and helpful except staff at front desk. They allowed long lines to form. Another staffer walking through the lobby noticed the line and went into the back room to get three more people to help. These people now seemed annoyed and weren’t very pleasant.

Value for Money

Excellent location and staff very helpful but the number of staff on duty seems to be lacking, especially during check-in, for the size and reputation of a Sheraton Hotel. Some of the amenities and condition of equipment should be upgraded. Other than the above, my family had a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

Will stay again when I go back

This hotel gives you the feeling of Hawaii, also close to the beach but also has a great pool with restaurant and entertainment every night. The hotel is within walking distance to transport, good restaurants and shops

Location was great!

The staff was great. We forgot our cell at the hotel and they located it and mailed it back to us quickly. Very thankful!

Not impressed. I was shocked, the Sheraton here in Sacramento CA is better then this one in Hawaii.

The sink was slow draining, there has hardly no space to store your clothes. The tv had problems with reception. I will not be returning to a Sheraton. I wish I would have stayed in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Hilton hotels have not let me down so far. Very upset that I paid so much for this Sheraton.

Great place to experience the the heart of Waikiki

I have a special place in my heart for Princess Kaiulani and I like to stay at the Sheraton Princess kaiulani for that reason. I also like the location. It’s in the heart of Waikiki and there are so many things going around you. The view is great and you only have to cross the street to get to the beach. It just has a easy breezy vibe. Sharon @ hotel check in was wonderful and really made me feel welcomed.

just accross the street, close to the beach, a nice place to stay. Not too expensive, nice swimming pool and breakfest.

Well worth it. Super value, Incredible partial ocean view of coastline.

I upgraded to "partial" ocean view that was INCREDIBLE of coastline all the way down to Diamond Head. FULL ocean view wing wasn’t as good as "partial" wing. Choose "partial". Room was clean, maids did superior job, room decor a lil dated but nice. Rm size was plenty large & roomy. Location is just across street from Moana Surfrider (gray colonial) & Outrigger Waikiki (Dukes Restaurant) so you’re close to beach with fabulous view for less cost. Poolside was adequate but spent all time on beach.Totally satisfied with the "Princess". Pleasant people, convenient tp restaurants, and the applause goes on. Enjoy!!! Signed, Huntington Beach, CA
