After the pest control that was done while we were there, a single cockroach was running around our room for the rest of the time. Also, the lock on the door was not working properly. It locked, but the dead old did not work. Room 564, in case you want to fix the lock.

Convenient location, Affordable pricing, friendly staff and great breakfast coupons! Housekeeping could do a bit better in cleaning and exterminating roaches, roach traps could be left in disclosed to guest areas, probably does not help with other guests leaving trash around ...complete vacuuming of rooms with carpet cleaner recommended after each guest check-out.

We paid $31 for parking and their parking isn’t secure. Someone broke into our car and took everything! A cooler, food, a kids belt! The hotel didn’t do a dam thing! I was Furious! $31!!! Per night! We stayed there 4 nights. What a racket! On top of the $31 parking we paid $30 per night hotel fees! $244 total on top of the hotel price per night. They ripping local people off to stay in that outdated, stinky soiled carpet, the room has a musty smell. NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN

The Pagoda Hotel was infested with termites in the rooms, including the beds and at the check-in counter, where they were swarming around (a day after checking-in). They stated they were "sold out", so they couldn't change my room when the termites began coming out of the bed frames and dressers and onto the pillows, flying and crawling everywhere in the room. There was also a layer of dust and spider webs on the walls and the carpet was not clean. Instead of the staff being more concerned, one staff's particular response was "Well, it's termite swarming season. What do you expect?!?" Needless to say, we left early and checked into another hotel. As a local, no, it's not "NORMAL" for hotels to be infested with termites or for hotel service to be this way in Hawai'i.

Even though I paid for 7 days in advance I was hit with (Exp made me remove the amount) in in hidden chrges to before I could check in. Clerk says every hotel does it differently. Ya, some do that and some don’t. Shame on Exp, too.

I particularly like the fact that it was in a central area to get to the freeway to go anywhere on the island and you're not stuck in Waikiki. It's good to be away from all that sometimes. Don Quiote is the best also! Its within walking distance and convenient and has everything! There were other shops within walking distance and places to eat. Convenient!
