great first stay

Paris is located in a great place mid-strip. We were able to walk to most surrounding hotels and since we had a rental car we drove down to those further out. We used the valet and we had our car quicker than if we had self parked w/o all the hassle. At $1 or $2 each time, it was quite a bargain. We self parked at some of the other hotels with no problem. As for the hotel itself, we had a nice time. I liked it b/c it was our first trip to Vegas and it wasn’t overwhelmingly big like some of the other hotels we visited. As seen in other reviews, there wasn’t a coffee maker in the room so we made a trip to Wal-mart and bought a cheap one and some to go cups for the week. It was much cheaper and convenient than ordering a pot or going down to a coffee shop. I wasn’t very impressed with the mattress in the room. I woke up stiff and didn’t sleep very well. I usually can sleep just about anywhere so this was a bit off the norm. Outside of those two minor issues I think Paris is a really nice hotel and would recommend staying there.

The city is great fun but it was nice to get away a few days. Of course you have to go see most of the hotels on the strip but if you have extra time here’s a few ideas. We had a rental car for the week, so we drove out to see the Grand Canyon (really long day, not for those who can’t handle long car trips), Hoover Dam, and Valley of Fire State Park. We drove out to the West rim of the Canyon. It was about 5 1/2 hours each way so it makes for a very long day. There’s a free shuttle bus system that I highly recommend. It is easy to use and it takes you to different spots along the rim. If your lucky you’ll get an informative driver who will point things out. We found out about a spot that was a shorter hike that way, so we got to go down into the canyon a little. I think this is a place that deserves a longer trip. Hoover Dam was really interesting. The new bypass bridge is amazing to see itself. You can only tour parts of it now but I thought it was well worth the money to take the tour. It took us about 4 hours to drive out, take the tour, leisurely walk around and get back. Valley of Fire State Park is about an hours drive outside of Vegas. We took a tour with Char Cruze. I highly recommend it if you can. She met us at the hotel and rode with us. She has great knowledge of the area. We stopped for lunch at a local deli and made a few other stops that we wouldn’t have made on our own. The park itself is phenomenal. You feel like your on another planet. Even if you can’t take the tour, the park is amazing and you can drive through it yourself. Be sure to get out so you can see some of the petroglyphs.

Very Impressed

I have been vacationing in Las Vegas for 30 years now. I must say that the Paris Hotel and Casino was by far one of the best I’ve stayed at. The selection of restaurants, the shopping, the facility itself, the rooms and the staff were all exceptional. The only draw back that comes to mind was that because of the new City Center, once it got to be around 3:00pm the pool area lost virtually all the sun as it was blocked by the City Center.

Paris, Las Vegas

Been to Vegas many times, first time at Paris. Will absolutely stay there again. Room was clean and well furnished. Staff easy to work with, courteous. Nicest hotel for the money I have ever had the pleasure to stay in.

Excellent location with a view

We stayed in the Paris’s "Red Room Premier". From here we had an excellent view of the Efiel Tower and of course the Bellagio’s water fountain show. Though you could not here the music, you could here the water canons fire from the hotel room. The room was nicely equipt with 42" flat screen TV and mini bar. For our Honeymoon, the accomidations where perfect. At about the middle of the newer south end of the "Strip" we we’re within walking distance to most attractions and other popular hotels. Having the view of the Bellagio from our window was better than a view of the "Strip" itself. And the staff at Expedia helped me coordinate which hotel and which rooms within the Paris, (via a direct call to the hotel staff), would give us this magnificent view. Thanks

If you travel up and down the "Strip" via the metro bus, buy the all day pass ($7.00 per person). Its the least expensive way to get to Fremont street as well as the Stratosphere hotel. In general, there is no continental breakfast so dinning at an "all you can eat" settting is best. Better is to purchase all day tickets for the best rate on meals. Taxis are expensive (yet convenient). You can go nowhere for less than $15.00 one way. Avoid them if you can.

Not Bad for the First Time in Vegas

Paris was pretty good place for the first time in Vegas. I like the location because it is smack right in the middle of the strip.

Great view

We had a view of the strip from our room. We could see the "Eiffel Tower" and "balloon" from our room and we could view the water shows across the street at the Biagi. At first the reservation clerk said it would cost an extra $50 a night to have a room with view of the strip, but then she relented and gave us the room at no extra cost.

Paris Las Vegas

My husband and I enjoyed everything about the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. The location was perfect, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing that turned us off from the very start was when we were checking in, they switched rooms on us at the last minute to a lower floor with a view that wasn’t as good. It’s just the way it was done that made us feel awful--the desk clerk told us our room # and was handing the keys to us when another desk clerk walked over to her and said that she is giving that room to the people she was helping. Our clerk said ok to her, took the keys back, and changed us to a different room.

Can’t beat the location

This was a really fun hotel - not the nicest, but perfect for a young couple on a relatively tight budget. And it is right near in the middle of the strip. A lot of fun!

Cheap, and you get what you pay for

Hotel was rather cheap, and it shows. If you are looking for a nice casino go to the bellagio right in front or the Ceasars Palace. Room was clean though, nice bath but with very low quality toiletries. Didnīt like any of the restaurants in the hotel, tried the buffet, the Ahi Sin and the Ile St. Louis and the three were mediocre and not even cheap. Summary: try to get a similar rate somewhere else.

The Lion King, worth every penny !

Paris is nice

Everything was great except the check in. It was a Wednesday night around 8:30 and they did not have enough people. The line was long and took forever.

Great hotel......after you can check in

Hotel has a great atmospehere and the rooms are very good. My only complaint was the length of the check in line. I arrived at 9pm and waited almost 1/2hr to make my way to the front of the check in line.....

Extremely Adequate

I don’t know how this gets 4 stars. 3 stars is more accurate. Good: The hotel is located in the middle of the strip and across from the Bellagio with its great fountains. Bad: No free breakfast. Check-in was very slow. The room view was horrible. Restaurants and room service was very expensive. The rooms amenities were barely adequate.

Cirque do Soleil is spectacular and there are several shows. Buy tickets before you go to avoid being scalped.

Paris Las Vegas

I recently stayed at Paris Las Vegas for four nights. It was a very pleasant experience overall. I liked the location due to our desire to mainly sight see throughout the Vegas strip as Paris is "Mid Strip." The hotel is also set closer to Las Vegas Blvd. than other properties reducing long walks to the sights. We had a strip view as well as a view of the Bellagio fountains. We took our Eilffle tower elevator trip at night during one of the fountain shows, AMAZING! The casino is a bit smaller than most others, which is fine for my limited gambling needs and avoiding getting lost in a sea of gaming tables. We had dinner at the steak house, a very pleasant experience, and watched Monday Night Football at the sports bar, decent. We did eat breakfast at "Le Buffet" our first morning, being a little corney I wanted the french toast which was cold and dry, but what else would one expect from a buffet? The selection was excellent. Overall a fun and affordable trip!

In the middle of everything...

Nice hotel, very busy casino and restaurants. If you want a peaceful place, this is not the hotel for you. On the other hand if you like being in the middle of it all, this is the place for you. I wouldn’t regard this as the place for a family with children, you’d be better off in other places. But if you’re in Vegas for fun, shows and gambling, this would be the place for you!!

Everything regarding shows within a few blocks walk, or better yet, take the bus for $7 a day, and you’ll get everywhere in minutes. Having a car while staying on the strip would seem to me to be more trouble than it’s worth. Not many places to park, and not worth the time it takes to get parked...

Good location - far from French

Location was great. We enjoyed the French ambiance and design of the hotel. Hotel staff service was satisfactory. Nothing to write home about. Food in the hotel was mediocre. The crepes were a poor substitute for the french delight. The spa was disappointing - nothing special, small and old facility. We had our nail color changed there and chose to have our spa day at QUA at Ceaser’s. QUA was great.

One of Vegas’ finest

The only concern I have is that there is no where to sit unless you are at the slots, tables or eating.. To "get away" I would usually have to return to my hotel room to just sit and relax. Perhaps some strategically placed benches or sitting areas for folks that just like to "people watch". Otherwise a beautiful hotel.
