It’s OK

Overall the hotel was in a great spot for us. I was disappointed we didn’t get a non smoking room our first night which we had requested. The desk clerk said they don’t guarantee rooms, which seemed odd. That room was also quite small. We were able to move to a non smoking room the next night which was much better, although we did have to go through the hassle of moving all our stuff.

Intersects 30th St and Broadway in the shadow of the Empire State Building.

First night stayed in a shower room, requested a tub and was moved into one the next morning. Excellent room and more spacious than the shower room. The staff were helpful and friendly. Consiege staff were really knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Rooms were well cleaned and tidy. Subway is only a block away. Walking distance to 42nd Street and Broadway. Excellent Persian Restaurant over the road. Handy for local coffee shops and busy neighbourhood- which had free wi-fi. Really enjoyed my time here and did not have to spend excessive amounts of time and money on travel as was able to walk to sites of take subway or taxis. Thank you Thirty Thirty Hotel.

So-so

The room was tiny, no space for even one chair.Two drawers were small, about2 ft wide and 15 in deep. It was, however, clean and the bed was comfortable. There were ample toiletries. The lobby personnel was cool , there were no smiles, or welcome. We asked one of them about a route to a sightseeing place, and she was quite arrogant and even a little impatient. We would choose a different hotel next time. But New York is terrific!

worst beds ever

I understand that everybody sleeps diefferently, but these beds are like sleeping on 5th ave. wait that would have been more comfortable. The hotel was a decent hotel they tried to fix the problem by upgrading our room but the bed was still very uncomfortable over all we did not go to new york for the hotel but it would have been nice to come home with no back pain due to the beds.

Great Centralized Location

Great access to many sites and 1 block from subway station. Hotel also has fantastic access to parking and fitness center. We had an outstanding time.

Tiny Rooms

I felt like I was living in a slightly expanded hallway closet. I’m sure there are bigger rooms, but I guess I had the tiniest one in the hotel. The location is great, and the staff is very helpful, but you will not be as comfortable as this hotel would have you believe.

I went back to office and slept on the floor.

The only thing worse than this hotel was Expedias service. I was booked for the wrong number of days, in the wrong sized room and they would not help me do anything about it.

Good Value, good location

Fine hotel room at a fair price -- just what I was looking for. Initial room I had as disappointingly small and would have been less satisfying but upon finding out that the internet node didn’t work in that room, the front desk immediately moved me to a room with a working internet connection -- a room in the same price category but one that was probably 20% large in sq.ft. Much more pleasant. Only 2 blocks from the 6-line subway to shoot up to museum-mile or the foot of Manhatten or by transfer over to Brooklyn -- i.e. very easy transportation to everywhere I wanted to go. I like walking and Times Sq, Grand Central Station, Empire State Building all were within an easy/enjoyable walking distance. Would easily make this my base for another visit to Manhattan.

Try out Penelope’s two blocks away at 29th and Lexington for breakfast/lunch -- very nice "homey" establishment.

Overall a good experience

Overall we enjoyed our stay at 3030 Hotel. The only problem we had was with the water. About three different times, we had no cold water which made it impossible to take a shower without scalding yourself. At these times we simply had to skip a shower until the cold water was back on.

30-30 : Gets an average

Lobby attempts to be hip, rooms are functional, clean and comfortable. My bathroom was almost the same size as the bedroom. No wake up call service, or in room drinks maker, fridge, etc. In the wardrobe hung the ubiquitous hotel laundry bag and form, I called front desk to collect for express pressing and they inquired whether I wanted an iron and ironing board. After some confusing exchanges, front desk confirmed that there was no such service at the hotel and laundy had to be sent off site the following day. Which prompts the question: why the bag and form? So, I settled on asking for an ironing board to be brought up as I already had an iron in the room. When I returned from dinner, I discovered another iron had been delivered, not a board. A petty complaint, maybe. However, all I wanted was a crisp ironed shirt for meetings the next day. I resorted to ironing it on the bed (just enough room), which was actually quite successful, for future reference! A "deluxe" room at premium rate warranted a tiny room next to the lift shaft. Having stayed at half a dozen different hotels in NYC in the last 3 years, I would rank this at 5th out of 6. Location: excellent, local amenities/restaurants/bars: excellent. Breakfast service in appended restaurant: good. It just lacks that extra touch which it should have for its price range.

Email I sent to the Thirty Thirty Hotel

This was the third time we have stayed there. Both times we had a great experience. So when we had the chance to book your hotel again, we were anticipating a very nice stay again. Unfortunately, there were many things lacking during this stay. First, our TV was not working. Sure, maintenance came and fixed the problem within the hour, but it was a hassle. On our second day, the room was not cleaned until 5-7 PM. I know because we left in the morning around 9AM. I came back to unload some shopping bags around 5PM, and the room had not been cleaned yet. Bed was still undone; trash had not been collected. On our third day, it got worse. The room was not even cleaned the entire day. Again we left the room around 8:30 AM, and we came back around 10PM to the same, non-cleaned room. Let me go back to the check in. We arrived and checked in to a lady working the front desk who never smiled or even traded any pleasantries towards us. The least she could have done or said was to ask us about the weather. Nothing. She simply did not seem very fond of her job and definitely not fond of these hotel guests who were making her work. That IS unacceptable customer service. We will not be booking your hotel ever again.

The location in Koreatown is great, but the hotel has seen its better days.

No wifi, small rooms

Internet connection was a huge problem for me at that hotel. Every where has wi-fi connection but you can not use it in your hotel. This is not acceptable. Hotel must give a free wi-fi connection and also free PC usage in the looby or whereever. Business people comes with their own notebooks etc. but tourist don’t so, If you want that your customers have a perfect experience at your hotel you should care them. Next time I will check the internet connection while making hotel reservation. I should also say that rooms were so small. We changed our room and got the big one by chance but our friends stayed in a box. Location is really good but I guess you can find better ones.

Find another hotel

The hotel lobby is not bad but the rooms are horrible. The first room I got was not big enough to fit me and my computer bag. I upgraded the room and the deluxe room was very dirty. Beside the dust on all furniture, the sofa was stained with who knows what and the carpet was so disgusting I kept my shoes on all the time. I will be willing to pay few extra bucks per night and find another hotel than to stay in this dump. The location is nice!

Great!

Great location, I stayed at Thirty thirty for 3 nights with my friends and we had to take the subway only once, the hotel is within walking distance to everything! My room was big and perfectly clean, the bathroom huge with a nice bath tub. It is also quiet, which was strange considering the location. I would totally recommend you stay at Thirty thirty, I don’t think you can find a better place at the same price!

Great Treasure for the right price...!

This hotel was very clean and even though the room was very small, it was very comfortable. The price was right and the best thing is that the hotel is located right in midtown, making it very convenient to get around on any direction in Manhattan...I would defenetelly stay ther again and again when I visit Manhattan...Maybe the only downer was that the air conditioning did not cool very well, but again, the price was right!

Cockroach

The standard rooms are extremely small-we walked in and felt like we were in a mental institution-it was like a closet and all the walls were white. Could barely see the tv. When we asked for a bigger room with a desk, they definitely gave us one but we weren’t the only ones in the room. A humongous cockroach was in our bathroom and it was still alive! We were so grossed out and uncomfortable after that. When I told the front desk, they did nothing about it or for our stay. Also, the plumbing could be a bit better-we flushed the toilet and it overflowed! Our bathroom was literally like a pool! The water just kept coming and starting running onto the carpet. The best part about the hotel was the hotel help-the hotel maids and cleaners were such sweethearts!

not impressed

The price of the hotel was alright especially for the location in downtown new york city. However, the room i stayed in had dirty yellow water coming down from the pipes a few time ever so often.The room was clean but the water was not!i complained to the management but they did not acknowledge my situation.I already changed rooms twice and didnt want to deal with it anymore!

Nice hotel, but room was small.

Room was very small, but reasonable considering we were hardly there but to sleep.

Parking is tuff, parking outside front door was only possible from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Missing some very basic things

The hotel was clean and looked more elegant than I expected. The thing that disappointed me when I got there was its lack of basic things that made my trip to NYC less convenient and more expensive. For example, there was no microwave, or refrigerator so I had little choice but to walk around New York and look for a restaurant or order room service every time I needed a meal. Another thing that I wished I had in that room was an ironing board. I am glad the hotel provided an iron but I did not have an ironing board so ironing my suit before my audition was not easy. If my room at this hotel had those three things that I mentioned above, I would have been very satisfied with my stay. But since I had to make do without, I must say that I was not impressed.

Figure out places you can eat for under $20 per meal if you are planning on staying here. If you have a suit that needs to be ironed try to find a dry cleaners that can iron it for you in less than a day.

Good Value

The Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The room was very small but the bathroom was large. The Hotel needs some updating but other than that I would recommend it. It is close to Time Square and alot of shopping. The price was great.

Would recommend however...

This was the first hotel we stayed at during our trip to NYC. Not much going on by this place. It has been updated however not too impressed with the overall experience. If you are looking to save and you won’t be in your hotel room much, this would be a decent place to stay. Only complaint was no bath only shower and the sink was next to the bed...so... um yeah. But like I said, if not expecting much, this is place for you.

Nice, small hotel

I was lucky and got a corner room on the 10th floor with two windows that let in a lot of light. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the kitchenette. My only complaints were that the carbon monoxide detector battery was dead and was beeping and I had to call twice to get someone to repair. Also, the desk clerk when I first got there before check in time was a little rude about me getting there early. Never saw him again though and it didn’t ruin my stay. The other staff were nice and friendly, it’s a great location near the subway, Empire State Building, etc. I love that this felt more like a neighborhood hotel, but, still convenient to everything! I would stay there again.
