Quality service...get what you pay for with room selection.

Godd service, clean, accross from a very nice park. If you choose this hotel purchase a park view room or you will not like your view out of your window. A tad too dark of a hotel too.

Amazing Fall Weekend in NYC

Although it rained Friday night and all day Saturday, our weekend at The Bryant Park Hotel in NYC was terrific! We ate dinner at The Turkish Kitchen on Friday night - the food is delicious...top notch! After dinner we landed back at the hotel and in the Cellar Bar where we sat like Hollywood folk at a "reserved" table and drank champagne. We had so much fun! Times Square was packed on Saturday, so to stay away from the busy crowds and out of the rain, we bought two tickets at the "Tickets" booth and saw "Avenue Q." I don’t recommend bringing children under the age of 16 - it’s a great and super funny adult show. Sunday was full of shopping, walking around Central Park, "Wicked Hot Chocolate" at Jacques Torres Chocolate Shop in the Upper West Side, and a great linner at Rosa’s Mexicano. We’ll be back at the Bryant Park Hotel for sure!!

Perfect for a weekend away in New York

Everything about our stay at the Bryant Park hotel worked.... it was a perfect weekend away. The location was near enough to Times Sq to walk but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The room was comfortable in size, updated, clean and stocked with everything you could need (we used the umbrella). The service was great even though the concierge didn’t know about a great diner two blocks away. Being across from the park produced a quiet, serene feeling (wich’craft kiosk is an added bonus for great take out food). It was safe and easy to walk around and you could easily catch a taxi for uptown on 6th or downtown on 5th. Would definitely go back.

Deluxe rooms are not that big

We reserved a deluxe room with Park view, it is written in room descriptions they are fairly bigger(400 square feet) but definitely the room we get is not that big, or they gave us the wrong room with the same price.

Nice bathrooms, great view

We got upgraded when we arrived at the hotel. We were impressed with the size of the room (for NYC) and the luxurious bathroom with it’s separate bathtub and stand-in shower. However, the room smelt like smoke, and we had requested for a non-smoking room. When we called the receptionist we were told that they were fully booked and could not give us another room. Luckily we were able to open the windows to air the room out. Unfortunately the blankets and pillows still had the lingering smell of smoke.

Hip, but not pretentious

The Bryant Park Hotel is wonderfully located and has HUGE rooms with fabulous views of Bryant Park. The staff was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our having a great stay. The free Happy Hour in the trendy basement bar was a huge plus. The place is very "hip", but we never felt out of place. Well worth a little splurge.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Don’t miss the Happy Hour in the Cellar Bar from 5-6 on Weekdays.

Very nice hotel in a great location

Our room was great, location is excellent, service could have been a bit better - the hotel is a bit too consummed with the entertainment set. Overall we had a very good experience and would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is the place to be

My family and I stayed in this hotel for almost a week. This has become one of our favorite hotels. We received an upgrade to room with 2 king beds! The staff is fantastic and friendly. The hotel is close to times square, the subway and many eating establishments. There is a park across the street that always has entertainment - movies in the park, jazz, etc. I would definitely stay here again!

Great NYC Business Hotel

Great location for business or leisure travelers. Immediate access to Bryant Park. Clean, modern rooms with enough space to work. Nice restaurant. Efficient staff. Gorgeous models during Fashion Week. Only negatives are the workout room (small and run down) and the beds, which are built for European style more than American comfort.

Best of best

We stayed at the Bryant Park for three nights in May (22-25), and it was just perfect. Very friendly, helpful staff and the clean up-to-date room pushes it to the top. Location is important as well - quiet yet near so much. We’ve stayed at several other excellent NYC hotels, but the Bryant Park stands out. The concierge sent us to fantastic restaurants - thank you! Try this one - you won’t regret it.

Lovely room

Spacious, luxurious room with bathroom I can only dream about. Beautiful 12(?) foot windows. Byrant Park outside the door compelling, nice place to rest in such a busy city. So glad I wasn’t in Time Square. Next time I’ll bring my beautiful daughter so we can partake the lively club downstairs.

Traveler's tip

Spend a lot of time in Central Park and if with chidren, the zoo inside to balance city with nature.

one of the nicest hotels rooms I’ve ever had

Overall, the quality of the room and service were top flight. This is one of the monuments of American Art Deco - the American Radiator building by Raymond Hood, although the conversion to the hotel use makes no nods to this on the interior, which has been completely re-done. This is a hotel that will appeal to those with high modern sensibilities, and the attention to small details like having a white noise machine, dimmers on the room lights, and a comfortable bed with really nice linens was great for me and meant I had a better night’s sleep in a hotel room than I usually do. Also the generous size of the room seems very luxurious in Manhattan these days. The location on Bryant Park was ultra convenient for my business purpose, and quiet for mid-town. The staff was very attentive. The bar is geared to a young, hip crowd. The only sour note was a problem discovered with my shower when I was rushing to get to a meeting and couldn’t wait to have it fixed. But I’d definitely go back for business or for a pleasure trip.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Out-of-towners should be sure to take a visit to see Grand Central Station in its current beautiful state, with shopping and restaurants.

Bryant Park is a great respite from the Manhattan throngs

The Bryant Park Hotel is removed from all that makes Manhattan a bit too frenzied--Times Square, Rockefeller Center, the shoppers of Fifth Avenue. Yet it’s close enough of that’s what you desire. The hotel is small, clean, and staff is friendly. The hotel is uber-cool as well. Check out the great sushi at Koi.

Amazing Bryant Park views!!

They allowed us to check in at 8am which was great!! We had a beautiful view 22nd flr jr suite (thanks Expedia for the special rate). The living area and bathroom were very spacious (great water pressure) and the high ceiling and tall windows made it feel like a loft... bright and open. It’s in the best location and you can walk anywhere. If I have to find something wrong, the bed could be more comfortable but who really sleeps in NYC?! We’ll be back!!

Super hotel, will definitely stay again

Last few times I’ve stayed in New York I’ve stayed at a hotel just south of Central Park. Most recently I wanted to be a bit further south, so thought I’d give the Bryant Park Hotel a go. I’m glad that I did. The rooms are great---much more spacious than the other place (300sqft versus 150sqft), comfortable and (at least the one I was in) with lots of natural light. Very clean and bright. Staff super-friendly and helpful (the concierge really went above and beyond to find us a dinner reservation last minute on Thanksgiving). Location is very handy for: Bryant Park, obviously, which has outdoor ice skating in the winter; Theater district; Fifth Ave shopping; Times Square; Broadway; plenty of tourist stuff like the Empire State building. We even easily walked to SoHo and back (about 2.5 miles on foot each way). The Cellar Bar is a bit of a let-down but we didn’t really go to NY to hang out in a hotel bar anyways. Will definitely stay at the BPH again no question.

Traveler's tip on dining

There’s a very good Indian restaurant a couple of blocks north. Ask the concierge.
