Nice NYC Hotel

The first room I was given reeked of Mildew. I alerted the front desk and they gave me a new room right away which was acceptable.

We stayed at the Roger Williams on a recent visit to Manhattan. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated, the staff was very polite and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The people at the front desk were extremely kind and helpful. I was having a rather late check-in and they were very accommodating to me. The overall look and style of the hotel was something I really liked. I loved the location of my room with it being on the corner. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved the shower head in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people and I can’t wait until I can stay there again!

Amazing hotel experience on Madison Avenue

I have only stayed in about 4 or so hotels in Manhattan, however this has been my favourite experience so far. I found the staff incredibly welcoming and genuine - offering plenty of helpful information for my stay. I found the rooms to be outside the box design wise, with lots of little extras available (most of these you needed to pay for however). The gym facilities were amazing and the location of the hotel meant that you were close to everything. Even though it was always busy, the hotel still maintained an intimate feel. I would definitely stay there again and would be happy to recommend my friends to stay there also.

A gem in Murray Hill

This is one of my favorite hotels in New York. I’ve had multiple return visits and never been disappointed. The staff are welcoming and the rooms are very comfortable. The lobby and public areas are candle lit in the evening.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

This neighborhood is central to many attractions, but quiet, so you don’t feel like you’re trapped in a circus. There’s plenty of reasonable dining on 2nd and 3rd Avenues, Gramercy Park, Union Square are all walking distance and there’s good transportation options for uptown as well.

Not impressed will not like to re-visit this hotel

Toilet is too small. Vanity Slab is the smallest that I have come across in hotels. There isn’t any vanity space for your toiletries. The wash basin is about 2 inches away from the wall that you have to stand sideway from the sink to prevent your elbow from hitting the wall. Air-conditioning is too noisy. The fan stops completely for more than 15 minutes when the room reachs its pre-set temperature causing the room to become stuffy before the fan turns on again.

Impressed by their service

This hotel is closed to Penn station and a lot of restaurants around this area. Location is convenience for both in walking or for the public transportation. The bed is comfortable. The staffs are courtesy. I had good time to stay there.

charged 3 x to stay in the hotel....

i do not recommend this hotel at all. they charged me and charged me again after i payed through your services. Did not give money back that easy.

bathroom too small

Altho the room and bed size were extremely roomy, the bathroom was tiny in comparison. Sink, in particular, was the size of an airliner’s bathroom sink. A large person would be most uncomfortable with the bathroom. Not enough room to put out own toiletries. Annoying number of items "for sale", not including the wet bar.

Nice part of town, quiet. Near a number of good restaurants. Walking distance to Times Square and Greenwich Village.

very chic, good location

The room, despite being quite small, was artfully arranged and welcoming. I chose this place for the location but was quite pleased by the swanky lobby and the quality of the room. The bathroom was the absolute best you could possibly expect for a bathroom that size, a full-size tub, stainless steel sink and marble. Full closet, desk, and minibar. They certainly made the most out of the space that they had. The staff was always extremely courteous and professional. There were no issues whatsoever during my stay.

Good location, trendy lobby, miniscule room

We stayed one night there recently during a weekend. The hotel has a good midtown location, easy walking distance to the subway and eateries. The lobby is inviting and very modern-cool. The room decor was also okay, but the room was extremely small. We had one Superior King bed room -the bed filled up almost the entire room, with hardly any space to walk around. It felt almost claustrophobic. Would advise that you go for one of the larger rooms if you prefer to have some space to stretch your legs.

The hotel is in a convenient location, the staff was very helpful and the hotel is decorated beautifully...between modern and classic. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it highly.

Great service, small bathrooms

great location and the service couldn’t be better. But the bathrooms are extremely small and the elevators take forever. But for the price and location, it is hard to beat in NYC.

Love It More Each Time

The Hotel Roger Williams is among New York City’s best kept secrets! The rooms can only be described as "Madison Ave meets Funk" and the customer service is consistently outstanding. Note: Menu is limited and portions are small. Breakfast more than makes up for it! I try to get a room here whenever I can!

Helpful staff

I’m pretty picky about a hotel room that my fiance & I stay. The room we booked through Expedia.com didn’t have a bath tab, and we claimed that at the front desk. The one of staff was kindly to show us around 5 rooms. He was very patient until we decided the one we were happy to stay. Also, the door men were very friendly and helpful.

Very stylish, rooms are a little small

Stylish hotel, great location. Very reasonable for the price. Nice (but a little pricey) buffet breakfast. Staff was great. Free wireless, which is a plus. Shared a room with a co-worker that was well decorated and attractive but pretty small, even for NYC.

Wonderful place to stay!

I would definitely recommend this quaint friendly hotel. Service was excellent and the decor was up to date. All staff members were helpful and they even have free internet laptops in the lobby!

Nice find for a short stay

We we visiting NYC for a Friday night and found the Hotel Roger William on Expedia. If you don’t care about an elaborate lobby and don’t need a particularly large room, this is a great find. Comfortable bed and amenities in a smaller room. Nice "rain" shower, but no tub. Friendly and helpful staff.

Too hot .

The hotel was truly elegant and comfortable except for the temperature of the room. It was way too hot. We had to open the windows. The bed was extremely comfortable as well as very cozy too. The staff was always helpful and very friendly.

nice surprise

I really enjoyed my short visit at the hotel. The staff was overly friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and bright. I loved the morning breakfast although I thought it was a bit pricey. I would stay again.
