This was our 6th visit to te Del. It was great as usual. Great atmosphere, relaxing environment, yet close to activities if needed. Always anxious to return.

Beautiful Coronado hotel -only place I will stay!

This hotel is gorgeous! The grounds are well cared for. Service was exceptional with extremely polite, friendly staff. No maids knocking on the door to wake you early in the morning--Loved That! The main hotel is where we stayed, easy access and beautiful views looking out over the beach and ocean. We could walk out on to the very private beach within a minute or two. The whole area is visually beautiful. I came home well relaxed. Walking out on the beach, you can look out onto the ocean and see occasional cruise ships on their way to Mexico. All of the restaurants on site were exceptional. The bed was extremely comfortable and it is quiet enough to sleep with your window open all night! I enjoyed being able to fall asleep listening to the waves of the ocean, and looking at the stars through my open window. You may want to ride down to Imperial Beach along Silver Strand to watch the pelicans dive down into the ocean and come up with fish, or walk out on to the pier and enjoy some easy fishing mixing with friendly locals. The small cozy restaurant at the end of the pier rents fishing rods, you can catch perch, or even shark. Be sure go down to the entry side of Coronado and look out across the bay in the evening at the city lights, Lovely! I am planning my next stay at the main hotel of the Del already!

The jacuzzi is in the adult pool area, be sure to be in it before 8 p.m. at which time they lock the doors. However, once in it, you can stay until 10 p.m. I called the front desk and they did not inform me that it is locked after 8 p.m. I would recommend eating at the Boat House across the street from the hotel. Fabulous steak and appetizers, eating at a window that sits looking over the ocean. The staff is polite, yet friendly and they help you to feel right at home.
