Very Happy--WE will be back
This was our 35th anniversary which we searched the web and found that Shephards had the best offer for the money. WOW were we surprised when we arrived. From start to finish (7 days) we had the best time of our life. The staff was great, the room in the tower area was even more than we expected. The buffet and menue was so good we enjoyed eating almost every meal at Shephards. We loved the setting from afternoon till night with the wounderful mood the staff will put you in to enjoy the 1st class act music. The band members were very professional and very talanted. We did go out on a dinner cruise which was nice. Only issue was you have to pay to park your car where ever you go. Bring alot of coins for the meters. We have our dates set for our return to Shepherds.

Great hotel - fun environment and friendly staff!
Definately a great place to stay. The live music and outdoor bar are very nice. Shephards has, by far, the best buffets in the area and are very reasonably priced. The rooms are clean and well serviced. The staff are super friendly and willing to answer any and all questions I had. They made excellent recommendations on places to visit in the area, as well as other restaurants for fresh sea food!

moderately diappointed
I would recommend the hotel if you dont like to sleep-our room was 1st floor poolside-the music was so loud the kitchen chairs would actually vibrate, and they played late into the night or into the early morning on the weekend. The other noise issue was that the bedroom window was actually alongside the bar ice-machine and you would hear people out there all night- Sat./Sun. A.M. we awoke to a loud crash @ 2:30 am that sounded like someone dropped about three quarter barrels outside the bedroom window. The room entrance doors could use a tighter seal-ours had a gap big enough for the little lizzards to come in the room.
