It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the towns, but close enough for a short drive for groceries, fuel, pints, food, etc...John checked in on us while we were staying to make sure we were having a great time. 100% would recommend and consider staying if we ever make it back to the West Coast of Ireland! "Perfect location to explore Connemara and a lovely property, beautifully renovated for a most comfortable stay. Lovely hosts with great suggestions and a playful dog to make us feel at home. We particularly loved fly fishing at Ballynahinch Castle (Hugh as our guide), exploring the Killary fjord area (scenic cruise was nice) and Kylemore Abbey, the ferry to Aran islands. The seafood at O’Grady’s was delicious yet also try the beef and lamb in this region…outstanding!! We got groceries at the Costcutters to cook our own amazing steak burgers. We came here after Dingle; loved both but particularly the rugged beauty of the Connemara. "
