“I was disappointed to get there and be told they didn't see my booking and the place was fully booked. I got allocated a random room of someone who did not come back, not the room I picked and paid for. When I took a shower the room got filled with water going all the way to the bed. The basin was also leaking. The room was full of spiders and spider webs all over. I will not be booking there again. I didn't even bother going for breakfast this morning. ”

10. Hotel Perte Montecasino

“This hotel is just steps from the theater at Montecasino. We just saw Mamma Mia, and it ended after 10 PM… It was great to just take a few steps to our hotel and be in bed quickly! There is no breakfast, but as others have mentioned, there is some sort of option at the Piazza hotel, though we went across the road to the Old Ducky French Café. There are other options over there as well. The public areas of the hotel were warm, but our room was nice and cool, with a well functioning air……

“I arrived after midnight and found staff in pajamas sleeping. They had no clue about my reservation even though it was booked 2 weeks ahead of time. I had to find my booking confirmation and show credit card statement of payment. Then i was walked through a dark alley to what could be otherwise considered the "boys quaters". My taxi driver was so scared of leaving me all alone and stayed until i got into my room. It was an ok room, sofa , tv, bed, bathrom, kitchen. I could smell the dust even……

“Kobie, the host, was extremely pleasant and helpful from the moment we arrived. The room was neat and clean and the beds extremely comfortable. We loved the sound of the river flowing passed. We had to ask for mugs to make coffee in the mornings, and Kobie was happy to supply them. There was a microwave oven in our room, but one needed to supply your own dish liquid, washing up cloth and kitchen towel in order to wash dishes. This is not a train smash, but it makes your stay easier if you come……
