“The first picture on the website shows fetched umbrellas with lounge, chairs, and the beach behind it. Did not see that anywhere where we were staying. They want you to think the beach is very nice, but it was OK.”

“Spent two nights at this lovely hotel located just outside of the main town area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel owner and staff were lovely. Very nice breakfast and pool area. We were very comfortable here. Do yourself a favor and book directly with the hotel. We booked a sea view room on hotels.com and paid more for those rooms. A seaview was not available, and the owner said all room rates are the same. The owner was great and I believed what she was saying. ”

“Hotel Avra is a no-frills, great-value hotel with a very acceptable restaurant right on the shore. It is 50m from a beach, 100m from the ferry dock and 150m from the most interesting part of Aegina town. And yet it is quiet with good insulation and a/c. The view from the balconies is as good as it gets and the location is superb. Elefteria is a friendly and helpful hostess and her staff are quietly efficient. There might be better Rooms on the island - but not for these prices.”
