"A 4\* hotel this is not. It's OK if you're just looking for a place to crash in Borovets but it's on the outskirts of town (10 min walk to town if you're not in ski boots). Has a sauna but no jacuzzi or steam room and the pool is not really big enough for swimming properly. Breakfast was average if you got there reasonably early but by 8am everything on the hot counters is cool and doesn't get replaced."

"5 stars all around. Nick our property host was fantastic. The castle exceeded our expectations on size and value for money. Not to mention the jacuzzi that was almost as tall as me 🙄😅. The property was cleaned throughout, perfect temperatures and the company provided with plenty of information for surrounding areas and transportation as we had no car. Would 100% recommend. "The hotel is very new - only 3 month old. The whole staff was very welcoming and made our stay perfect. We used the spa and booked some treatments and can highly recommend to everyone to use the spa of this hotel. The hotel is ideally for your trip to rila monastery but also to the 7 lakes of rila. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to explore everything so I can recommend to take your time in this gorgeous area and enjoy the Bulgarian nature. "

This is the main church in the monastery and was erected in 1837 after the demolishing of the original church.⠀

The frescoes inside, the gold-plated iconostasis, the altars, and icons are amazing pieces of art! ⠀

"Great location. Clean and modern hotel. Plenty of amenities and the breakfast was really good. Very helpful staff. A little noisy from the bars at the front pumping out really irritating music late afternoon/early evening. Don't go for a mountain view room if you want a quiet evening in your room."

"The room was the worst hotel room I’ve ever seen and certainly nowhere near 4 star. Everything is Broken and filthy with insects and bugs. Food was just as bad no variety at all, pointless going half board as we had to eat out most of the time as it was so bad. The facilities are neglected the customer care non existent and most nights there was screaming and fighting from locals at the front reception leaving clubs and bars . Incredibly unsafe for families and poor value for money. Worst experience at any hotel ever! "
