“Super”

“This is supposed to be a 5* hotel. And there are good points… access to beach, cleanliness, good sized room, very helpful staff. However it misses on a number of points: breakfast buffet was the worst we have ever seen (limited choice, cold food that was supposed to be hot, etc… a 3* would have been ashamed to present that); we met the maintenance man regularly… lights and TV not working properly; bedside table missing. And finally if you don’t want to shower and go to the toilet in front of……

“Lovely hotel located half way between Mirmare Castle and central Trieste, 5 mins from the waterfront, good bus service outside. Very quaint and old fashioned but perfectly functional and spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable. They provide rice crackers at breakfast, as an alternative to bread (useful if you are gluten free) Staff were friendly and helpful. Windows were double glazed in our 2nd floor room, so no problems with traffic noise. Free Wifi was ok for social media etc.”
