Excellent view of the fireworks for the 4th of July! The location is perfect and the pool is excellent. The AC did a great job keeping us cool, and the beds are great! Our big complaint was the Internet. We have a special needs son who relies on his phone during waits, changes in routine, and to help calm meltdowns. We chose this hotel because it said WiFi was included, and we assumed it would be reliable since it’s a convention center. The WiFi didn’t work at all. I contacted two employees who each said it’s because of high occupancy. I understand that, but we definitely would’ve chosen a place with reliable internet. Sorry to our neighbors who had to listen to the 3 am autistic meltdown for two hours this morning. My recommendation to the hotel is to spring for better internet, and require a password to use it.

This place is so beautiful and so friendly! The building we stayed in was only 2 weeks old so everything was new! We needed extra blankets and all we did was text and it was at our door! Westgate has got it down! Several pools and the onsite restaurant was so good for breakfast and dinner. Definitely will be coming back!!!!

While my home town of Knoxville doesn't have the most impressive skyline the Sunsphere does add something unique to make it at least still memorable. It even made a Simpsons episode!

Visit the observation deck for a great view of Knoxville. From the city's website: The Sunsphere was constructed for the 1982 World's Fair and during that time, it served as the symbol to the Fair. It was also home to a full service restaurant and the Observation Deck, which cost $2.00 for the elevator ride up for a visit. The Sunsphere closed to the public with the Fair's end and remained vacant or underutilized for most of its post-fair life. The Sunsphere and the Tennessee Amphitheater are the only structures that remain from the 1982 World's Fair.
