"Perfect location for the symphony and easy to take the bus from the station to the hotel. Breakfast is delicious and with good variety, though the scrambled eggs were on the salty side and should be avoided if you need a low salt diet. 😅"

"Bearing in mind that it was a Youth Hostel and not a hotel, we were very happy with our accomodation. The room was large and had a fridge which was a big plus for us. The beds were comfortable and everything in the en-suite bathroom worked well. The only downside was a lack of electrical sockets - there were two in the room and the fridge had to be plugged into one of them but we managed by charging a power bank when we were out and using that to charge mobile phones. "I was trying to get a room on a short notice in Aalborg, and this hotel came out among others. I have to say, it is way better than what other ones offered. Room was sufficiently spacious, modern, quiet, comfy bed. I slept really well! Breakfast was until 11 am! I don't know if it was because of a Saturday, but I wish all hotels had breakfast till 11. It was an extra fee, but selections were superb, very tasty. It is 7 minutes walk from the railway station, and you don't hear the railway at all in the room. Service was nice. Near a big supermarket.

"A nice hotel in a small town in Jylland. The room is basic but sufficient. The bathroom was quite large and had good water pressure. It would be great to have shampoo. The breakfast is a nice spread with good rolls. The owner was friendly and I got to enjoy a concert there on the night I arrived. Right across the street from a grocery store if you need anything! "

The rest of this review comes from the perspective as an American traveling abroad. Europeans would probably find this to be a pretty normal hotel setup.
I guess I missed that the hotel is situated on a walking street and that there is no way to unload without parking in a nearby garage. It took me several loops around the block to find the public parking garage.
We were also surprised to be met with a flight of stairs from the street to the lobby. And another spiral staircase up to our room. It was fine for us and there did seem to be a carrier to haul luggage up the stairs. Older vacationers might want to check on this before booking their stay.
Even with surprises, the hotel was charming and quiet considering that it is conveniently located on a street full of restaurants and bars."

"We had a great (3-nights) stay at Strandhotellet. It is a lovely stylish hotel with a quaint atmosphere, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We received excellent service and the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming.
Note if you stay during the warmer season: There’s no AC in the room or ventilation in the bathrooms. The room had a small portable fan which we turned on at night: We would have preferred to leave the patio doors open, to experience the ocean breeze but due to mosquitos we had to keep the doors closed. The room was unpleasantly warm.
That said: we were in Blokhus during the warmest week of the year, the weather and the beach was amazing ☀️
