Denmark hotel packages might include a journey to the Viking ruins, which are a part of the country's heritage. It is a small country with a huge history that is waiting to be explored.

    "A Good Choice!"
Staff extremely helpful and very friendly. Perhaps including breakfast within the overall price rather than paying for it separately would work better. That is though just a minor point. Overall, everything was very good and it added to a very enjoyable weekend in Copenhagen.

"Good city views but bathrooms need work"
The hotel has great views of the city, and is relatively easy walking distance to the centre. Staff on the front desk, room service and housekeeping were all very polite; the breakfast staff less so. The bed was very comfy and the room clean; however the bathroom door did not shut, and the stink plug smelt when we first used the tap (this disappeared after two or three uses). We had a rate with free breakfast, which offered plenty of variety. Overall a good place for a business or weekend stay, but consider it slightly below a 4 star given the bathroom issues and breakfast staff service.

    "Good value in central area."
Spent one night here. It was a good hotel with good facilities for a reasonable price particularly for Denmark. There is limited parking associated with the hotel and when we arrived there was none left. This required us to park some distance from the hotel so factor this in. Very easy walking distance for restaurants.

"Nice hotel 15 minutes from Aarhus"
My room was on sale so I got a double room for just me. The size of the room was great, of course, and the bathroom was great for Denmark. I found it very comfortable. Breakfast was okay though the same thing everyday. There were rolls, jam, sandwich meat, spreads, and some vegetables. Then cereal and boiled eggs. There was a good variety of drinks.

    Hotel Royal

Store Torv 4, Aarhus - Map
"Gracious old world charm meets modern Denmark"
Loved it! The Hotel Royale is the Grand Dame of Aarhus hotels, and was perhaps the most memorable of a 3 week Scandanavian roadtrip for our family of 4. Staff were gracious and welcoming. The hotel is historic, but well preserved with extensive original art, the oldest elevator in Denmark and elegant 19th century decor. It has been updated to modern Danish design, with dramatic aquarium front reception desk, glass terrace dining room, casino, and decent gym. Tasteful and artistic breakfast buffet. Stayed in room 501, which was an 800+/- sq ft penthouse suite, resplendent with old world charm and detail, that I would highly recommend to couples and families visiting Aarhus. A treat among Scandanavian hotels in Denmark's charming 2nd city.
