The room was great - spotless, with a very comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower and nice towels. The shuttle was very convenient - when you arrive at the airport, you need to ask the people at the desk as you get close to the exit to let the hotel know to come get you. Only downer was that the food was OK. Not bad, but not great either. Overall, a great place to stay in Addis.

Sky is an amazing hotel located in one of the best neighborhoods in Addis. It’s also an excellent option for red eye flights as it is located very close to the airport and provides free shuttle back and forth. I have stayed multiple times and every single time it has been an exceptional experience.

My experience at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel was genuinely outstanding. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with warm, attentive service that never felt forced. The lobby itself sets the tone—spacious, elegant, and full of natural light. The rooms were spotless, modern, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made the stay feel elevated. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the quality of the bedding; it made it easy to rest after long days. Breakfast was a highlight. There are actually two hotel buildings. The place can get crowded and eating options can be limited (unless eating is based on drinking beer). Breakfast is excellent, almost worth skipping a meal.

The hotel was lovely with excellent options for delicious meals and beautiful rooms. If taking the shuttle to the airport, we would suggest leaving plenty of time to arrive since the shuttle was more than 25 minutes late. We were also surprised to arrive and hear that if we wanted to move into our room early, before afternoon check in, we would need to pay an extra 75$ fee even though the room was ready for occupancy.
