Loved the location! Very safe, lake town feel. Very quiet, right next to accessible gates led neighborhood w/walk up lake views. Everyone we saw was very nice & approachable. Accessible restaurants, grocery, gas stations. Strongly recommend!

I stayed with a friend for a girls trip and loved it! From the pool to the deep tub and the amazing view. When we were in the pool a red fox checked us out. While in Grove check out the New Life Day Spa. Looking forward to our return trip.

Lovely rental for a quiet getaway.
We really enjoyed this property. The home was very clean inside & tastefully decorated. We stayed during the middle of the week & the neighborhood was very quiet & we had the swimming pool to ourselves. The fenced in patio was nice, however needed a lot of cobwebs removed from the siding & fencing. The only other negative thing is that the microwave did not work. Overall, would recommend to any couple to stay there.

Wonderful Quiet Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful time in this cozy cabin. The property was very neat and clean. Love the decor in this place! It felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. The neighborhood was quiet and we had the pool to ourselves which was awesome! We would definitely stay here again.

with so MANY areas to stay and rent for a vacation or get away, this private home is a GEM
Great for a couple or 2 couples. Well kept, luxuriously furnished, and with all modern conveniences.....a cottage in a private small circle of other private homes. Great access location on Monkey Island and starting point for any other lake activities or desintations. A Gem of a home rental; no problems, no worries, upscale cottage in a down to earth community. Thanks. Would love to return sometime.

Comfy cottage
This is a lovely cottage near the lake. It is very clean with modern appliances. The beds are comfortable with soft sheets! The only minor change is the coffee, I prefer to bring my own coffee and with the Keurig, I had to use their pods. This was literally the only thing I had an issue with at the house.

Great experience!
We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very nice and had everything we needed. We rented a boat and jet skis from H2O Sports which is very close by. We also walked down to the dock every night to fish. Would definitely stay again.

Cottage on Grand Lake
The cottage was very nice. It was decorated like a model home. All of the furnishings were beautiful. The cottage was very clean. It was just a short walk to the dock on the lake. The weather got very chilly while we were there, so it was nice to have the fireplace to keep warm. We met Norma the owner and she offered to let us have a late checkout since the cold weather made it difficult to enjoy the outside. This is a great place to stay. I recommend it!!

Overall impressed & happy with cottage & amenities. 2 exceptions I’ll give below.
Exceptions: a stranger entered our cottage while we were out on Saturday. There was a wad of hair, not ours, as though cleaned from a brush in the bathroom trash. Very disconcerting with that situation!! The other exception is a lack of instructions on how to operate the television, VCR/DVD, and fireplace without having to make a phone calls. Once we could use the TV we couldn’t get the VCR or DVD to work, couldn’t figure it out; needed clear instructions for that. I don’t want to have to keep calling on someone for little things like that. Otherwise we were very pleased. Certainly botherd us this morning when we discovered someone else’s hair in our bathroom!!

Nice cottage with full amenities but...
While the cottage was overall clean and nicely decorated, we arrived to a dishwasher full of clean dishes that we were left to empty and the granite island with a sticky residue, which we had to clean before using. The most disappointing and misleading thing, resulting in my low rating, was the description that the cottage was steps from the lake, which was one of the main reasons we chose this property. While there is a peek-a-boo view of the lake through the trees and the homes of several gated communities surrounding the cottage, you can't simply walk to the lake without trespassing. The description also boasted a nearby community dock, but no directions to the dock were provided. It would have been nice if the owners provided this information, along with any pertinent area information, such as things to do, restaurant suggestions, etc., on some type of welcome card or notebook in the cottage. We enjoyed Grand Lake, but if you're looking for lake views and lake access like we were, this is probably not for you.
