"Let's just say, I will definitely return. Clean, design like, minimal hotel. Private access to one of the best beaches in the South. Staff are friendly and the place feels homely. Easy access to local beach bars, restaurants, the train station, etc. Walk, tuk tuk, book a car via the hotel. If you are looking to relax on a quiet elegant property, solo or with partner, take it day by day, with amazing views, I recommend the Sandhya. Thank you. Frances (British)"

"The staff were very friendly. Sri Lankan style. Rooms were clean and spacious. Good value for the money. The food was outstanding. Breakfast was varied and plenty. Well located to all surf breaks. The surf in front of the place was big and closed out so paddle out to the point was tough with lots of current. Surfed on Weligama a convenient 15 minutes away "

"Where to start, these guys cancelled our entire booking because we were late for check in leaving us stuck in a monsoon with our 3 month old infant. When we finally got into the property the next day, a solid hardwood curtain rod fell on my partners head who was holding our kid. Very luckily only she was hurt. The restaurant was basically not working. The bar was shut. I get that its the off season but say this in your booking profile. When we decided to leave after 1 night to head to Unawatuna...

"A lovely place to spend a couple of nights - my room was amazing and the bath with a view of the ocean was really special. "Loved the name of this Hotel, and on arrival were not disappointed. It is a newly refurbished Hotel, and although simple in style, it is a very unique place, located on a wonderful site which overlooks the ocean, and has a spectacular view from the restaurant while dining. Everyone was so nice, and the staff could not do enough for us, but I have to mention our lovely waiter Isha who was such a pleasant young man, and made us feel extra welcome. "Firstly the reservation hadn't been received so I had to pay for the room again and rely on a refund from Hotels.com. Nice room but very noisy with train line adjacent to the building. Location wasn't great with a 20 min walk into Ahangama and no nearby restaurant or food shops. I left one night early but no refund for the unused night from the hotel. Overall not a good experience."
