"To start off we stayed her for 3 nights after a liveaboard dive trip during the off season. we were looking to rest and relax and we got that. "My wife and I got married in June 2015, but it is only during Christmas 2016 that we decided to go on our honeymoon. The Maldives and the Cerulean View Residence was our first destination where we stayed for a whole week. We didn't have a big budget, so we couldn't go on a resort. So when we looked for a room that would be below £100, this hotel caught our attention. The hotel is located in Hanimaadhoo, and it is facing the beach. The condition of the hotel is very good and the staff are...

"My 21-day stay at Nolhi Escape in January was a delightful experience. My room was large, well air-conditioned and comfortable and the staff cleaned it whenever I asked. There is plenty of hot water, the guesthouse has a lush garden and is quiet (you can hear the prayers from a nearby mosque five times a day, but they never woke me). Nolhivaranfaru, the small island on which Nolhi Escape is located, isn't the place for someone seeking a resort experience -- there are few tourists, no large...

8/10 Good

Nothing against the staff we found this true on the island in general. Wi-Fi is good we did stream video with no issue. we couldn't see the beach because of the lush vegetation but you are a 1 min walk. Breakfast was from 8:30 - 9:30 and was buffet style. a mix of local food plus hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt and rotated with pancakes or french toast. Convenient to town but there isn't much there. We ate lunch and dinner at a cafe that was about a 5 min walk. If you just want to unwind and don't need to be waited on this is a good to place to stay by Hinamaadhoo standards. Make sure you have a copy of your paid receipt. at checkout we were asked to pay for our stay, I had the Travelocity receipt and there was no further discussion."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Alidhoo?
The best area to stay in Alidhoo is directly on the resort island itself, as it is a private island dedicated solely to a single resort experience.

Alidhoo is a small, secluded island in the Haa Alifu Atoll, designed as an exclusive retreat. Guests stay in overwater or beach villas, each offering direct access to the ocean or the sandy shores. The island's layout prioritizes privacy and natural beauty, with pathways connecting villas to dining venues, the spa, and water sports centers.

Couples looking for a romantic and undisturbed getaway will find Alidhoo ideal. The privacy of the villas, along with activities like private dinners on the beach, couples' spa treatments, and sunset cruises, create an intimate setting. The clear waters surrounding the island are superb for snorkeling and diving together.

For travelers seeking a luxurious and relaxing escape, Alidhoo offers an extensive experience. The resort provides a range of amenities, including fine dining options, a full-service spa, and various water sports, all within the confines of the island.
When is the best time to go to Alidhoo?
The best time to go to Alidhoo is during the dry season, which runs from November to April, offering the most consistently pleasant weather for a relaxing and enjoyable trip.

During these months, you can expect abundant sunshine, minimal rainfall, and calm seas, creating ideal conditions for water activities like snorkeling, diving, and swimming. The average temperature hovers around 80-86°F (27-30°C), making it great for lounging on the beach or by the pool. This period is particularly good for couples seeking a tranquil getaway, as the clear skies and gentle breezes enhance the romantic setting.

While the dry season is generally more popular, the shoulder months of May and October can also be a good option for travelers looking for slightly fewer crowds and potentially better value. Although there might be an occasional shower, these brief rainfalls often clear quickly, leaving plenty of sunshine. This time of year can appeal to solo travelers or those on a wellness retreat, offering a more serene environment.

Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Alidhoo.
How much is the nightly rate at a Alidhoo hotel?

All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay.
