(544 reviews) Beware booking in shoulder seasons. We were so disappointed to arrive and find that everything we saved and booked to enjoy was closed. No canoes or kayaks. No bikes. No forest canopy activities. Hot tub open only three hours and lukewarm with no willingness to adjust temps. It was a gorgeous warm sunny fall week. We missed everything by two days and spent a lot of money to be in a hotel room and go for walks. The resort basically closes Thanksgiving weekend. It was a sacrifice to save and spend here and we came from a long distance. The website did not make obvious that everything was closed; it was deep in several pages in small print. I spoke directly to the front desk several times before booking to confirm other details and no one mentioned anything. There was a large and loud elementary school group doing all the “things”, but regular guests were not allowed. The place was basically empty except a few couples. We were really disappointed. The food and restaurant service are excellent. I really appreciated the service staff. (1,004 reviews) Great overall stay at Entourage-sur-le-Lac. Clean room with many utilities. There's a lot of free activities to do on site (we stayed during winter) like fat bikes, ice skating, spa, sauna. It is 5 minutes from ski mountain Le Relais, and 20 minutes from ski Stoneham. We stayed as a couple but there is also many activities for kids at the hotel, all available in a playroom. Definitely would like to go back with the family this time! Small concern, there could be more EV charging stations. (101 reviews) Stayed here for a week in Dec. and got to know this place well. The good: It’s in a quiet area and the bedroom is very dark, so easy to get a good sleep. Great shower, kitchen amenities, and a solid living area. The place was quite clean and spacious. The so-so: Instead of a duvet cover, the duvet was sandwiched between two top-sheets so it was difficult to keep it covered. In winter, the baseboard heating struggled to get above 20-21c. The apartment is located in Old Québec near a few cute/quaint streets, however it’s located at the bottom of a very steep hill that must be climbed if you want to go anywhere on foot (including other parts of old Québec). There is a funicular that can cut out some of the climb if you’re willing to wait. A good location but would be mindful of the stairs. The bad: The apartment is at street level in a decently well-trafficked area. There are privacy shades, but they do not fully cover the windows and people using the door adjacent to the window can easily see in. Also, considering the winter conditions in Quebec, the apartment could be better outfitted for coming and going. It’s difficult not to track in snow and slush. A bench to take shoes off and a coat rack would go a long way. Finally, the TV is basically unusable. Netflix is not compatible, screen mirroring doesn't work, and the cable package is limited to basic channels with no way to pay for additional ones during your stay. Overall, not a bad value but a few things to improve!
