A truly characterful stay. Housed in a beautifully restored 1920s Art Deco building in leafy Menteng, The Hermitage strikes a rare balance – heritage grandeur paired with genuinely modern comfort. The rooms are elegant and impeccably kept, the lobby full of lovely period detail, and the rooftop delivers some of the finest views of central Jakarta. What stood out most was the service: warm, attentive and sincere, without ever feeling stiff. Breakfast was a highlight and a wonderful introduction to Indonesian flavours, and the staff went out of their way at every turn. A peaceful, refined retreat in the heart of the city – an easy five stars, and I'd return without hesitation.

I stayed here twice wiring two weeks due to my work related traveling. The location is excellent and the proximity to one of Indonesia’s best mall makes this such a great place to stay at. The staff across the board is so professional and polite and they are always on top of your needs. The breakfast buffet was excellent with outstanding selections and service. The fitness center is slightly on the smaller side but has all the right equipment. However they could greatly benefit fr having one of those resistance machines that allows one to perform several exercises through one machine. I also think that they price per day was very reasonable compared to the competitors and the ROI on the money is fantastic, overall, very satisfied with the experience and would definitely use it for future travels as well.
