We had stayed here previously about 40 years ago and loved it. It’s still a good place to stay but standards have shifted slightly. The rooms are well maintained but are a trifle small by todays standards and the bathrooms are really tight. We stayed in the main building and it was convenient to the lounge and dining room. The lounge area is attractive and comfortable and made me feel as if I were in an Agatha Christie novel! The dining room food is really good and my scallops were cooked to perfection. The breakfast buffet ($25/person) was good value and delicious. The staff are all well trained and friendly. I enjoyed our stay.

Older, stately, large property geared toward those who want a laid-back getaway. We stayed in a cottage and enjoyed it very much. Our expectations were not one of grandeur. Cottages were big and clean and a bit dated, which was fine for us. The room rate was very inexpensive. We had great meals in the on-site dining room, where the prices were a little more upscale. I can’t speak to the rooms in the main building. The pool was nice and clean and staff was pleasant. We were a group of adults, but lots of families seem to be enjoying the grounds, including the playground.

Beautiful historic building close to the Sea. The rooms are 100 years old so don't expect the ritz. There's no fridges and there's no microwaves. Restaurant is open for breakfast and supper but you're on your own for lunch but nowhere at the hotel to even get a sandwich. That would be my only real suggestion that they have some place in the hotel where you could get a bite of lunch rather than after driving to town or take the shuttle to the golf course restaurant.

Quaint and cute! It is likely the best option if you are staying in Digby which is required for tourists to take the ferry to St. John. Some of the amenities, specifically the fitness facility was very outdated. It was both rusty and dusty; which was disappointing. The staff however, were lovely.

The walking trail was a nice experience. The tennis courts have been let go, could be converted into a fenced dog park, to let them run, would be my suggestion. Our dining experience was terrible. Great service however the food was over salted and undercooked. Raw/undercooked pork is not OK. The cottages were great for accommodations, comfortable beds and convenient mini fridge. Very homey.
