I verkligheten är det ett nedgånget och sunkigt hotell, med fläckiga gardiner och möbler, trasig inredning och dålig lukt. Golvlisterna saknades och det var svart mot golvet och den gamla heltäckningsmattan som gömts under laminatgolvet och på toagolvet fanns en stor mögelfläck som dom inte lyckats skrubba bort.
