Good location, but unpleasant bathroom odor The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for exploring Cusco, and the staff was polite throughout our stay. Unfortunately, there was a persistent foul smell coming from the bathroom plumbing that significantly affected our experience. I reported the issue, but the hotel was unable to resolve it and did not offer to move us to another room. Ultimately, I had to keep the bathroom door closed to prevent the smell from spreading into the room. Since no alternative room was offered, I cannot say whether this issue affects other rooms as well. The location and polite staff were positives, but the unresolved bathroom odor was a major drawback. I hope the hotel addresses the plumbing issue so future guests do not have to deal with the same problem.

We stayed 2 nights in Hotel Jaya & found it to be a pretty poor experience. Apart from having a bathtub with jets in the bathroom (this was an absolute Godsend), there were insects in our room and my partner and I are covered in bites from our stay. Breakfast catered extremely poorly to vegetarians, and the cheese provided actually was off. The staff at the breakfast did not seem to want to be there nor were they happy to answer questions. Our room was extremely hot and we struggled to sleep - after a bit of back & forth with the front desk about whether it was actually got or not, we were provided a fan, which eventually helped cool the room. The bathroom tiles are extremely slippery and even a bath mat is not enough to prevent one from slipping. My husband and I nearly slipped twice! All in all, I would not book this hotel again.
