"Our stay here was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their kindness, professionalism, and attention to every detail. Their hospitality truly elevated the entire experience. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, offering the perfect place to relax after exploring Kinosaki Onsen. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk from the famous bathhouses, restaurants, and the charming canal, making it incredibly easy to enjoy everything this wonderful town has to offer. One of our favorite parts of the stay was being able to immerse ourselves in the unique atmosphere of Kinosaki while returning each evening to such a peaceful and comfortable hotel. Every interaction with the staff reflected the warmth and care for which Japan is known. If you’re planning a visit to Kinosaki Onsen, I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It combines outstanding service, comfort, and an ideal location to create a truly unforgettable experience. We would gladly stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful town."

"Second stay at this ryokan after a perfect stay last year. Location is perfect - on the willow-lined river street close to onsens. Quiet, comfortable rooms. Public and private onsen on site, excellent dinner served at the restaurant. Air conditioning wasn’t cooling the room completely, but staff were accommodating with extra fans. Thank you Kaki for another wonderful stay."

"It was one of the best experience we had during our trip. If we are to come back, we will consider staying longer. We love every bit of our stay. One experience was that when we arrived to the hotel, I noticed that my wallet was lost. I was able to retrieve it by their help. The half board and breakfast were fantastic and so worth it. "Pretty impressed with their thoughtfulness and excellent service! Deposited my luggage with them before check in so I could go sightseeing. When I came back to check in, they told me they had already transported my luggage to my room! In addition, they offered me a hot towel and a choice of free welcome drink (you can choose from beer to soft drink or a snack). The breakfast is wonderful too! Piping hot miso soup based hotpot served with dishes made from local ingredients. Only drawback is it is a 10 min walk from Toyooka JR Station."

"The property was in a very convenient location and excellent staff and kaiseki breakfast and dinner. We were expecting a more modern and updated ryokan experience from the photos when we booked. Unfortunately the ryokan room that we booked was quite dated however the reviews with photos seemed to show a new and modern room. Saw another property with the same name, perhaps there are 2 different Kawaguchiya ryokan. "
