I wanted to love this place, and I had read reviews before booking, but I hoped for a better experience. The view from the hotel was stunning, probably the best in town. However, the cost didn’t match what was provided. The pool wasn’t clean, despite a pool cleaner being onsite for two days, and the Jacuzzi, which was one of the main reasons we booked, was a letdown. It was dirty and waterless upon arrival, though we were told it was "working fine" and just needed cleaning. When our scheduled Jacuzzi time arrived, they informed us last minute that it wasn’t working due to multiple issues—things that could have been addressed earlier, given we reserved it two days prior. The hotel looked unkempt, possibly due to it being off-season timing? The room was fine but basic, which we expected, no complaints there. However, the lack of care for the pool and Jacuzzi was disappointing. The front desk staff was excellent and helped us navigate Alto Lucero, a small town with limited dining options. They gave great suggestions and called taxis for us. We heard the onsite restaurant was good, but it was always empty and closed early. No big deal—we were happy to go into town. Overall, the experience didn’t feel worth the price. The view is fantastic, but you can get the same benefits at another hotel in town for half the cost.

El personal muy amable. La habitación terrible porque en la página indican “aire acondicionado “, sin embargo no tenía aire acondicionado, ni ventilador ni mosquiteros. Habían cucarachas atrás de la cama y en el techo. No es hotel. Son cabañas en medio del bosque. Es complicado llegar porque no hay buena señal en la carretera.

Increible para la aventura, poco confort ya que su temática es de aventura, espacios reducidos, sin embargo muy buena opción para quienes buscan estancia por aventuras

Do not stay at this property. My army tent was better than this place. The doors and windows are not sealed so all the rooms were full of spiders, mosquitoes, and huge stink bugs. The water in shower in #27 was just cold water. The mini split AC leaked water into the upstairs bedroom flooding the floor. I had to place bath towels on floor to stop water. I also put a trash can at the leak to catch the water. It was obvious we had no clean towels but house keeping did not give us clean towels. All housekeeping did was make the beds. They did not clean the room. Very disappointed.

I was amazed at how great this place is. There is a wonderful restaurant on property. The grounds are beautiful a wonderful trail with an amazing orchid collection off the beaten path, but worth the effort to get here.
