    Welcome to Shallow Point, a stunning vacation home nestled along the historic Askins Creek in Avon, NC. This spacious house boasts breathtaking views of the sound and creek, providing a picturesque backdrop from dawn to dusk. With an open floor concept, it's perfect for families or groups looking to create lasting memories together. Located on a safe, low-traffic road, you'll find yourself just a short walk from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the sun and surf.

    The reverse floor plan allows for an abundance of natural light and panoramic water and wetland views from the top floor. Step outside onto the expansive decks to soak in the stunning sunrises and sunsets, or enjoy the beautifully landscaped yard, complete with an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The outside deck stairs are not available for guest use; access to the decks is provided from inside the home on each level.

Enjoyed our stay

The deck on the top floor was lovely and the family area with windows on three sides afforded a great view of the Pamlico sound, the creek birdlife, and daily sunsets. Avon is well located for the quiet beaches, the calm Haulover beach (great for kids), and the car ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke which is a superb day trip. The house was spotless and beds very comfortable.

Great House

Beautiful home and great location. We did have problems with the AC and finding a lot of bugs or roaches on the downstairs level. There is also a camera pointed at the driveway which was not disclosed on the listing. Overall lovely home for a great price. House had everything we needed, easy check in and check out process. Would recommend for a cheap stress free getaway.
