Come spend a little time Duckin Around on Hatteras Island! Nestled along a peaceful canal in the heart of Avon, this charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath cottage offers the perfect mix of waterfront relaxation, outdoor adventure, and modern comfort. With a private boat dock, easy access to the Pamlico Sound, and the beach just a short walk away, there's something for everyone, including your four-legged family members!

Inside, the newly renovated interior features beautiful luxury vinyl plank flooring, comfortable furnishings, and a bright, welcoming atmosphere. Gather in the cozy living area around the electric fireplace and 55-inch Smart TV, or prepare your favorite vacation meals in the updated kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and a Keurig coffee maker.

The home's convenient single-level layout features three comfortable bedrooms, including a king primary suite with a private bathroom and two additional bedrooms with double-over-double bunk beds, making it a great choice for families traveling together.

Step outside onto the furnished canalfront sundeck to enjoy your morning coffee, watch the boats pass by, or simply take in the peaceful waterfront setting. The private dock and bulkheaded shoreline provide convenient access for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, crabbing, and small boating adventures. After a day on the water, rinse off in the outdoor shower or fire up the charcoal grill for a laid-back evening at home.

Duckin Around's convenient mid-Avon location puts you close to local restaurants, shopping, and the village's pedestrian and bike path. Take a stroll for an ice cream treat at Dairy Queen, explore the neighborhood by bike, or head to the nearby beach for a day in the sand. Guests can also enjoy seasonal community pool access for even more fun during their stay.

Around Avon Village: There's plenty to enjoy beyond the beach! Grab fresh local seafood, browse locally owned shops, or cast a line from the historic Avon Fishing Pier. Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of nearby ORV beach access ramps or head to the Haulover Day Use Area for easy sound access, watersports, and beautiful views across the Pamlico Sound.

Community Amenities: The Club Hatteras Community Pool and Playground are located at 41156 NC Hwy 12 Avon, NC 27915. The pool is generally open seasonally. Please note that the operation of community pool dates and times may vary dependent on weather and pool management companies.

Beach Access: The beach is approximately a 10-minute walk from the house! Located at 39197 N. Albacore Lane in Avon, Duckin Around is tucked away on the soundside of Highway 12. Guests can walk through the neighborhood toward NC Highway 12 and continue to a designated public beach access on the oceanside. Please use designated crossings and exercise caution when crossing the highway.

No Smoking/Vaping. Dog Friendly - 2 Dogs Maximum Allowed. Dogs allowed for an additional per pet fee.
