“It's a dated resort but it's well managed by staff who's friendly and tries to live up to its reputation. I hope they had more facilities for pet owners who like us travel light. Eco-friendly policies are in place. We have a child and enjoyed the facilities in a safe and carefree environment. Like the bathroom the most”

“Stunning property and staff all amazing. Very hilly so need to be fit to get around or have a car. Suites lovely, breakfast plentiful and tasty. Beach club about 10 mins away in complimentary shuttle bus. It’s quite far from Elounda town so we drove in each night. Would be great if hotel had a shuttle bus to take you there. Everything was fabulous and definitely good value for money”

“There was an issue with the pool at the Cretan Lodge prior to our arrival, our hosts contacted us a few days before and asked if Canes Villa would be ok as a substitute as they recognized the importance of a pool for the kids. We were very happy with the location. It was very easy to get to all of the areas we had planned to visit while in thay region of Crete. We only used the main house as we were a family of 4 travelling with small children, but if travelling with a larger group or 2 families……
