Nicely presented hotel. Stayed in family room with 2 young children and they enjoyed stay. Located in beautiful area. Village with shops and restaurants up the road which was handy. Good location to explore the area.

Great staff and clean room

The building is relatively old (about one century) in the very center of Deventer, an old Dutch city (founded as a city about 1250 years ago). You are literally in the old center, but only a 6 minute walk from the train and bus stations. The original style of the building has been well maintained, sometimes at the expense of practicality. Our room for example was on the top floor and could only be reached by a steep staircase after an elevator ride to the floor underneath us. Plus points: location and very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Minus points: outdated and stained carpets , no water heater, coffee/tea maker or refrigerator in the room (but a nice bar or outside terrace where they can make you a drink with a snack).
