Large, well-appointed cottage
We stayed four nights in this cottage which is relatively close to the motorway between Holland and Germany. It is a very spacious cottage, converted from an old farm building, in the grounds of a small hotel. The setting is very rural, and therefore peaceful. Nearest village is 2-3 km away. The cottage is furnished in a very traditional (old fashioned?) way, but has clearly been very recently modernised so kitchen and bathrooms are very well appointed. The three bedrooms are large and comfortable, each with its own TV. The nearest large village/small town of Bad Bentheim has plenty of basic shops (e.g. K+K supermarket), plus a few eating places etc. as well as the castle (shloss) to visit. 50km away is Munster, which is well worth a visit. I would recommend this holiday home for people looking for somewhere quiet, and comfortably equipped. Not, perhaps, so great for a young family looking for plenty of activities / company for the kids. We also felt it was quite expensive, particularly with the €100 mandatory cleaning charge, which we hadn't been expecting, and local taxes - if you're booking a holiday home in a country where you're not familiar with the language, make sure you understand all the charges!

Ein sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt mit viel Ruhe. Grosszügiges Haus. Im Garten könnten die Sträucher etwas zurückgeschnitten werden, ansonsten keine Mängel!

Jedoch einige Dinge sind erneuerungs- bzw. reparaturbedürftig, z. B. - extrem quietschendes Bett im Schlafzimmer (linke Seite) neben den Bädern - wacklige und sehr niedrige Essstühle - Furniere in der Küche z. T. aufgequollen und lose (v. a. bei Spülmaschine) - Tür am Gefrierschrank nicht richtig befestigt - dürftige Fernsehperformance - Duschtür verkantet sich, da die Aufhängung defekt

Zu erst einmal möchte ich klar stellen, dass dieses Objekt ohne den Zwischenfall 4-5 Sterne verdient hätte. Es ist bei Ankunft sehr sauber und ordentlich gewesen, der erste Eindruck stimmte also. Die Rezeptionisten waren sehr kompetent und freundlich. Die Lage ist sehr ländlich und ruhig, perfekt für schöne Spaziergänge mit dem Hund. Das Haus hat einen netten Stil und ist super eingerichtet. Ohne Zwischenfall ist dieses Objekt sehr zu empfehlen. Am zweiten Abend kam es zu einem Kaminbrand, bei dem wir das Haus für ca. 90 Minuten verlassen mussten, aufgrund eines Feuerwehr und Löscheinsatzes in unserem Ferienhaus. Der Kamin fing ohne erkennbare Vorzeichen an zu brennen. Da keine Sicherheitsanlagen wie Rauchmelder und Kohlenmonoxidmeldern im Haus vorhanden sind, kann man von Glück sprechen dass nichts weiter passiert ist. Die Reaktion des Rezeptionisten war Vorbildlich. Er rief zügig die Feuerwehr und began mit dem Löschen der Feuerstelle. Die Rezeptionisten und anschließend auch die Besitzerin selber vergewisserten sich bei uns, ob es allen gut gehen würde. Nach dem das Feuer gelöscht war und die Feuerwehr abrückte, durften wir auf Grund des nur kleinen Schadens zurück ins Haus. Wir selber begannen mit der Reinigung des Hauses, da oberflächlich alles mit Löschmitteln bedeckt war. Uns wurde zugesichert, die zweite Rate für das Haus erstattet zu bekommen, als Entschädigung für den Zwischenfall. Dies geschah jedoch nicht ! Die Vermieterin meldete sich nicht mehr und reagierte nur auf meine Kontaktaufnahme. Wir wurden abgewimmelt, in dem man uns sagte wir hätten es falsch verstanden, und nur die Kosten die während des Aufenthaltes anfielen (Kaminholz, Brötchen) erlassen. Diese Tatsache lässt einen schlechten Eindruck bei mir, sodass ich mich entschloss eine ausführliche Bewertung zu schreiben. Ich hoffe das in Zukunft versprechen auch eingehalten werden.

Freundinnen Kurzuraub
Mit 6 Personen wohnten wir sehr bequem in dem schönen Bauernhaus. Da wir uns selbst versorgten, kam uns die gut ausgestattete Küche sehr gelegen. Zwei Bäder, eins davon mit großer Badewanne und die Möglichkeit, den Fitnessraum und Saunas zu nutzen, boten auch unseren beiden Teenager -Mädchen ein paar angenehme erholsame Tage. Die Umgebung ist sehr beschaulich nach dem Vorbild alter Zeiten angelegt. Das Personal sehr freundlich - was will man mehr!

Heerlijke rustige plek, dicht bij het gemak van het hotel
We zijn net terug van een lang weekend in het gastenverblijf. Het weer was erg warm, maar het huis lekker koel en een heerlijke tuin om in te zitten. Slaapkamers en badkamers dik in orde. Er is volop gelegenheid om te fietsen. We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij het naast gelegen hotel. De “ loopeenden” met hun jongen waren een vermaak op zich.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus.
Wunderschön und liegevoll eingerichtet. Sehr viel Platz. Sehr schöne Hotelanlage mit einem schön angelegten Garten bzw. Park. Kompliment an den Gärtner. Das Grundstück des Ferienhauses befindet sich am Rand der Anlage, so dass man vom Hotelbetrieb ungestört ist. Das Resaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man keine Lust auf Kochen hat.

Wij hebben het reuze naar onze zin gehad. Fijn gezellig ruim huis. Fijne omgeving met vele mogelijkheden.en veel rust.

Ganz ok sehr großes Haus
Das Haus war sehr schön nur leider war es nicht so sauber wie man sich das gewünscht hätte. Wir waren mit 6 Leuten da, Gläser waren fast nur Weingläser. Tassen hab es nur kleine Kaffeetassen für Tee war nichts da. Die Kaffeemaschine war noch verdreckt und verschimmelt vom vormieter und leider von Reinigungspersonal nicht entdeckt worden. Leider auch nicht gesehen, die ganzen Spinnengeweben überall im Haus. Frühstück war sehr gut im Hotel. Alles sehr ruhig gelegen und schön angelegt.

Top weekend gehad!
We hebben met ons gezin , 6 volwassenen, enorm genoten van het huis Waldseiterhof in Bad Bentheim. Lekker ruim, van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijk warm! Prachtig onderhouden tuin! Kortom, een prima verblijf!
