Stayed for the spa facilities.
This hotel is outside of the main town but has marvelous spa facilities. Everything is clean and fresh. The pool is made up of fresh mountain thermal water but the hotel controls the water. They remove the radon and add some chlorine but not too much. The water feels very fresh. They also lower the temperature. The spa area does not offer any hot pools or jacuzzis. They do have steam rooms and saunas downstairs from the pool area which is typical European (unisex and nude or towels only). The hotel provides towels, robes and slippers in a nice tote bag located in your room to use in the spa.
The hotel has a restaurant. We had breakfast there. It was very good.There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance if you want something different from what the hotel offers. We wanted apple strudel for dinner so we walked to one close by.
They have bicycle's you can use as well to explore the area. It is a good uphill climb to get to the town of Bad Gastein. We did not use them though since it was raining.
The room was large and nice. The bath room was modern. The bed was a little hard for our taste but not unreasonably so.
Overall, a very nice stay.

A wonderful, idyllic hotel with superb service .
I've been to the Alpenblick three times. It's well worth a trip to Badgastein just for a stay at the Alpenblick. The staff is excellent and the breakfast is terrific. As for the view...the hills are alive!

Really nice hotel right beside the train station
Myself and my wife were lucky enough to get a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony which gave fabulous views.
Don't be put off by the "youth" part of the hotel name as it's definitely not a hostel or solely for young backpackers. We are a middle aged couple and found the hotel to be first class in every department, the breakfast was excellent

Relaxing long weekend
My partner and I spent a really enjoyable and relaxing weekend at the Hotel Miramonte. We had some great hikes and spa treatments. Great location, great food.

Beautiful little hotel in a lovely alpine town!
I highly recommend a stay at the Villa Excelsior. Christof and his family will take excellent care of you. Staying in the hotel was like stepping back in time, yet with modern conveniences. In a short time, we felt like we were staying in a comfortable family home. As well, I highly recommend taking advantage of the dinner offer. The food was excellent and a good value. We will definitely return and stay for a longer period.

Fall asleep to waterfall sounds
Excellent interaction with english speaking staff: all town activities including casino, restaurants etc, all within walking distance (albeit uphill to start). Beautiful view of waterfall from breakfast area and good continental selection for breakfast. Parking is a minor issue, no AC for summer months stay can be an issue. Overall, we would return her and do recommend it.

Nice old-time hotel in the heart of town
Great choice for folks coming to play in oldest european Casino, hotel is just around the corner. Interior reminds of "belle epoque" , somewhat shabby , but still attractive. Rooms are spacy and clean , modest furniture, great town and mountains view . Neat and cozy pool with thermal water and satisfactory sauna zone. Shuttle to ski lift and very friendly reception add up to positive experience. Cuisine was not surprising , but tolerable . To summarise - one of the best hotels for it's price !
