I think the hotel is what it needs to be. It is a mid level hotel. Our room had cracks and tape as repairs which isn't a great look. But the staff is amazing and they offer free water for your water bottle.

I booked paid for 2 person for a breakfast but on their system only one. Shower room looks not clean in the corner. Well I guess rated 3 star. Staff are good.

Our stay at Madayaw Hotel in Tagum was truly excellent. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome—kind, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms were well-kept, the atmosphere was peaceful, and everything felt fresh and well cared for. We especially appreciated the overall sense of hospitality—there’s a sincerity here that stands out. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place where you feel taken care of. If you’re visiting Tagum, I would absolutely recommend Madayaw Hotel. We would gladly stay here again.

The side and under the sink had mold. I told them about it, they cleaned it but the mold was still there. My kids and I got sick. We were coughing and had an asthma attack. The location of the hotel is great but that’s all.
