We had a perfect four night stay. Very comfortable and the continental breakfast was excellent. Staff were terrific. Can’t rate highly enough - would definitely stay there again.

Lovely place to stay, rooms are amazing and spacious clean and tidy, coffee tea facilities tucked away in the cupboard, bed was very comfortable. The bar area is decorated with great pictures and painted dark giving it a moody feel. We sat in the large chairs next to the fire place it was very relaxing after a long drive. Hotel offers 2 EV chargers and is positioned near shops and restaurants. Would recommend this boutique motel.

We loved the Riversleigh in Bairnsdale, the building is just gorgeous with onsite parking included. We had dinner and breakfast- both good We wished we could stay longer. It’s a pleasure to find such a nice place

Unlike our previous stays here, we were accommodated in room 26 at the rear of the main building which gave the appearance of what may have been the original owners servants bedroom. Room was subject to noise from people sitting on adjacent stairway playing loud radio and room while very small had a bathroom constructed within it but without an enclosed ceiling within the room which tended to enhance the noised coming from the bathroom to the balance of the accommodation.. We stayed there again as back in the early 1980's, I was one of a number of people who lived in the area and saved the buildings from demolition by a developer citing also the very early engraving on one of the upstairs window showing part of the old port of Bairnsdale. All in all, still good although we felt rather cramped in such a small room but still it was comfortable and clean.

We were very grateful to the staff for allowing us to check in very late (after midnight) and accommodating us on our road trip. The room was lovely and cosy (even though it was a cold day). The bed was SUPER comfy. The breakfast is nice but would recommend hot dishes are added (it’s continental). It just felt quite basic and didn’t feel like it matched up to the accomodation offering. Safe parking at the rear of the hotel too. Make sure if you arrive late that you account for dinner not being open as it’s a small country town and not many options available after 7:30pm (we knew this and ate on the way in). Highly recommend this hotel to stay in for a journey to the Buchan Caves

Gorgeous property with boutique accommodation, awesome service, afternoon cocktails and continental breakfast. It’s like a retreat in the middle of town. We had a queen room and it was roomy, huge tv, you can order a platter if you wanted too. Really loved staying here.

Beautiful period building. Comfortable bed, lovely garden. Continental breakfast was included but the spread was not just toast and cereal: there was ham, cheese and tomato croissant, crumpets, fresh fruits, yogurts and a coffee machine. Dining and reception area has beautiful decor. The best surprise, not listed in the facilities, was the complimentary EV charger for guests’ use. Will definitely stay again.

1 bedroom apartment was good for Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids but unfortunately sofa bed in the lounge Room is broken and terrible to sleep on. Needs to be replaced asap. Amenities were good and everything you need for a night away. Breakfast was good and something for everyone. Overall great value

Lovely property but breakfast a bit disappointing- coffee machine broken which was only thing we wanted. Staff nice but bit inexperienced. No welcome area even though it’s a beautiful reception. Location was very good. Close to shops, Walk along the river. Disappointing that the restaurant was closed but we ate at the Thai around the corner. Very good. We always find that the bed is too hot with a doona. Blankets are not as convenient but a lot more comfortable

It is a boutique hotel and very beautiful. We were disappointed with the hospitality as there we no people in reception and it was all closed off - you could only get to your room. Even though it said bar and restaurant, they were not open and we had to find somewhere else to eat. They served cold breakfast, which was nice. The yoghurt and croissants were amazing. Had the bar been open it would have been a totally different experience. Bairnsdale seemed pretty dead and hard to find somewhere to eat but we found a Thai restaurant around the corner from the hotel and that was very nice.
