"Marita and Ian are the perfect hosts. As a woman travelling alone it was very reassuring to be met by smiling faces and I immediately felt safe. Nothing is too much trouble and your hosts are always around, albeit decretely to help in any way they can. The property is magnificent and immaculate. The room I stayed in had a queen size bed and was very spacious with the most beautiful bathroom including a fabulous claw foot bath to soak in and walk in shower. Immediately outside on the verandah was a small tea and coffee station with a micro wave and bar fridge. The attention to detail was amazing with the added touches of chocolates and milk in the fridge. Ians love of the garden is strikingly obvious with one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. The birds love it there too and I was astounded by the variety that make it their home.The village of Balingup is only 5 mins away making it just far enough away to feel like you have escaped to the country. I highly recommend a visit to this oasis in the South West of Western Australia and intend on booking again as soon as I can.Many thanks to Marita and Ian for your warm hospitality. "We arrived in Bridgetown on a very cold and wet weekend. But our stay at the Rustic Bridgetown cottage was everything we expected. It was cosy, comfortable, and nestled high in the perfect location. The house was equipped with everything we need.My grandsons enjoyed feeding the many different birds that visited each day.Would definitely like to return when it is warmer spring weather, and the possums could come out and say hello. Thank you for a lovely stay."
