Secluded rustic cottage charm, opposite river walk, close to town. Pet friendly!

Pet friendly, fully air conditioned wooden retreat, with a wood fire for those cooler evenings, a gas BBQ with outdoor dining, expansive decks, a fully equipped kitchen for food lovers, and lovely views for that true holiday feeling. Located opposite from the river with walk trails, close to wineries and the cidary.
Fully enclosed grassed area and the balconies too, so that your fur babies can safely roam.
Plenty of wildlife with a variety of birds, parrots, frogs, lizzards, possuems and even a bandicoot or two.
Full linens provided.
Three fully airconditioned bedrooms with queensized beds, with an extra single in one of the rooms, and another with doors opening onto the balcony.
Please note: This propety is not suitable for the elderly or those with mobility issues as due to the propertys location on the hill, there are steps.

Quiet location great to be able to take the dog

We had a fantastic 2 day stay, being able to take the dog was a huge plus, our only negative is that the outside table and BBQ where dirty and unusable everything else was great

Quaint secluded cottage

This beautiful, timber, rustic cottage is in the perfect, peaceful, and secluded location great for river walks and not too far from Bridgetown. A variety of local birds visit throughout the day which we enjoyed very much. We will definitely stay again.

Lovely little cottage. Perfect for winter. Beautifully warm with fire on, birds galore, lovely sound of river not far. We had a great stay. So close to town. Enjoyed the walking path across the road aling the river. Definately worth a stay. Beautiful area.

Beautiful Hideaway

We arrived in Bridgetown on a very cold and wet weekend. But our stay at the Rustic Bridgetown cottage was everything we expected. It was cosy, comfortable, and nestled high in the perfect location. The house was equipped with everything we need.My grandsons enjoyed feeding the many different birds that visited each day.Would definitely like to return when it is warmer spring weather, and the possums could come out and say hello. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The cottage was old but had alot of charm. It was clean and very comfortable. The weather was cold so the wood fire made our time very cosy. Wood was supplied which was very appreciated. Over all the hosts did an amazing job inmaking our stay very pleasant

Fantastic retreat in the forrest to take your furbaby along for

Spacious location, veranda and lower courtyard fenced off for a safe place to let your dog roam. BBQ, bonfire and kitchen facilities provided including firewood. The fishpond, birdbath and veranda are frequently visited by birds, lizards and possums!Airconditioners worked very well despite being there for a heatwave. Most importantly owners allow dogs!

Cosy like the three bears cottage

We loved this home. So cosy and inviting. Almost everything made beautifully in wood. The views were great and the home was perfectly set up with all that we needed, including chopped wood and firelighters for the log burner. Our two labradoodles also felt very much at home and loved the river side walk that is on the doorstep!

Prefect for our friends weekend away

Property is as advertised. Rustic charm. Suited our needs for a long weekend away with friends. Tranquil spot with lots of beautiful birds. Full kitchen which was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Very close to town and 2 mins from a lovely winery Sunnyhurst - take a cheeseboard with you to enjoy a lovely view and some yummy wines.

RUSTIC TIME TO OURSELVES WITH NATURE

We have just had 3 beautiful days and nights in a rustic timber house set in the hills of Bridgetown for our 35 Wedding Anniversary. Friends over one evening, feeding all the native birds that come to the verandah, the sounds of nature were so refreshing and great for recharging our batteries. Loved the house and everything about it, full of all sorts of quirky things. It has a great fur baby yard, we don't have a dog but can see how they would love it as well

Quirky house base for fun family holiday

Through it wasn’t as shiny as the pictures, there was plenty to recommend this rambling hideaway. Breakfast on the deck feeding the birds, dining and living areas ample for family time, a kitchen with everything you need except a dishwasher. Be aware that the bathroom is awkward, the bedrooms hanging spaces are locked off and the skylights festooned with cobwebs. The driveway is also a challenge. Still lots of secret spaces for exploring like the back patio and garden, the fish pond, the Blackwood River Walk and then there is the haunted shack up the path….
