Located between Playa Uvita and Playa Dominical, Casa Puertocito Point is surrounded by amazing beaches, majestic mountains, and the rainforest. The two bedroom, two bath villa also has an additional two-bedroom guest house. Featuring a 180° wrap around deck to soak in the ocean view and spectacular sunsets, the main house sits just a few meters from a cliff that seems to reach out over the water. Nestled in 12 ocean-front acres, you will enjoy the relaxing ocean and forest sights and sounds every day of your stay. The private pool has a spectacular deck that juts out for the most amazing view in the Domenical area.
The Space This house is very private and quiet (except for the sounds of the ocean, wind, and birds). Open up the accordion glass and wood doors on the entire back side of the villa and enjoy a wonderful ocean breeze coming into the open air common area. This area has a living room, entertainment nook, dining room and kitchen. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a cold drink out on the wrap-around deck or on the second deck space that literally seems to hang over the ocean.
The master bedroom is spacious and features a walk out patio and an ocean view right from the king bed. The large en-suite bath has a bathtub/shower. The second bedroom in the main house has a queen bed and en-suite bath with shower.
The kitchen features all modern appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, stove and large refrigerator. Just outside on the deck in a gas BBQ grill large enough for big groups.
The guest house is just a few meters away and features a spacious apartment complete with kitchenette, sitting area, and separate king bedroom with en-suite bath. A large patio is accessible from the living area and the bedroom that offers another awesome Pacific Ocean view. The downstairs bedroom of the guest house features a queen bed, en-suite bath, and a patio with another spectacular view.
The Neighborhood The house is off the main road between Dominical and Uvita, the two closest towns, and each a 10-minute drive. The house is also a short walking distance from the 4-star hotel Cuna del Angel where there are an excellent restaurant and spa. Follow the rustic forest path to the beach at low tide for some great exploring of flora and fauna. We recommend Puerto Nuevo Beach for swimming, only a short two-minute drive.
Amenities - All bedrooms are air-conditioned - 180-degree wrap around deck with ocean views - BBQ - Private Pool - Full kitchen and dishwasher - Laundry available - High speed fiber-optic wifi internet in both houses - Maid service provided every other day - Satellite TV -Private gated entrance

the view to ocean was perfect, abundant wild life (monkeys, hummingbirds, many butterflies species and magnificent nigh life creatures)
down side: to many geckos inside house and they poop constantly on tables, couches and chairs and since their droppings carried diseases we had had to keep everything cover and wear shoes

Breathtaking Million Dollar View
The house and the property are incredible. We all loved the house, the property and view, and the pool. Our first night we had the Chef prepare us dinner. I thought we were a 5 Star restaurant. We had fillet Mignon, Mahi Mahi with coconut sauce, mashed potatoes, salad, and home made coconut cake. It was one the the best meals I have every eaten. He set the table, served us and did the dishes. Would highly recommend this option. All the staff are very professional, and on top of every detail. Fernando in sales, Indra in the concierge dept. and Kim the house host, they are all great and provide great costumer service way down in the jungle of Costa Rica. I definitely will be staying there again on my next trip to CR .
Our three families with young kids had an amazing time in Costa Rica with this gorgeous home as our base camp. It is located within 15 minutes of incredible beaches, waterfalls, and forests full of animals that surround the home. The hike-to beach down from the house was not difficult for our 7 year olds and was like having a private beach-at low tide we found snorkeling there too. There are several close beaches with fun surf and features that our host told us about. From the multiple decks you see the ocean, monkeys, coatis, birds galore, and butterflies. Our families cooked and congregated in the spacious and comfortable main house, but had privacy and space in the evenings. The bedrooms are cool, quiet, and well appointed. The house also had air mattresses for the kids to use. The hammock, decks, and pool are all open from the house so you can enjoy the outdoors all the time. It was a great privilege to be the first one up to open the big doors, check out the morning wildlife, and cut fresh fruit for breakfast having a few quiet moments to swing in the hammock or lounge on the deck. After a hot day in the surf and sand, the pool was a welcome treat we used throughout the day. I also appreciated the many details of this house: vaulted ceiling, courtyard garden, tiled and wood floors, and carved doors. Our host was so helpful, communicating as often as we needed and gave us suggestions for kid friendly activities- she really cared about our time in Costa Rica and made the trip easy and fun. The housekeeper helped keep the home clean and organized. This is a lovely, convenient, and family friendly home hosted professionally and personally. We are all very satisfied with our stay and would love to visit again soon.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
The view outweighs all of the negatives!
Pros:
1. The view is incredible!
2. Wildlife abounds! There is a sloth that lives in a tree by the pool. Monkeys frequented the property daily as dud toucans.
3. We liked the location because of the easy access to the main road. Driving was very easy.
Cons:
1. Communication with the house concierge from Escape villas was poor. After making the booking, emails went unanswered and I often had to send messages a couple of times weeks apart to get answers to my questions. It was so bad, there was a time I thought we had been scammed! We did ask them to coordinate our car rental for drop off/ pick up from the house and there were no issues with that. Once there, they were more responsive and our house host was very friendly and nice to work with locally.
2. Check in did not go as planned as we were unable to get a message to go through to the house host. We finally got a message through to her and were given the wrong key lock code. We had to wait for the host to physically come to let us in.
3. The house itself has amazing potential, but needs maintenance. The wood floors in the master bathroom are warped and soft and felt like they were going to just give out under our feet. Also, the 3 large walls of glass doors were very difficult to open/ close and one entire section was broken.
4. Security- be sure to lock doors at all times. The door to the casita was left unlocked when we went to dinner and people stole the tv, our camera and some of our clothes.

Great location, the house could've been better
The location and view were fantastic. We loved sitting out and watching the birds/animals and ocean. The kids enjoyed the pool. The house we didn't love as much. In our opinion, the pictures were a bit misleading and it was overpriced for what we got. Our first night there we lost all power for about 10 hours and had no ac, water or internet. No one slept much that night. They got that fixed and then the internet went out the following day and was out until the next afternoon. We had internet in the main house after that, but not the casita. There were lizards and bugs on our ceilings and floors because there are big gaps under and around the doors and wire mesh on upper walls of the main room. We had to make sure any food was stored in the refrigerator, which was a typical American size fortunately. No AC in the main room made it so we didn't want to hang out there because it was so hot all the time and only very occasionally was there a breeze off the ocean to cool things off when we left the doors open. There were only 2 rooms in the main house and they were far apart from each other. The casita was a building a couple hundred feet from the main house and had 2 rooms which were not connected in any way. You had to walk outside and around about 75ft to get from one room to the other. We had 2 families that went with kids (though fortunately they weren't young) and it was a problem because the people in the upper room had absolutely no contact at night with the kids in the lower room. The main house doors are very old and are difficult to open and some don't open at all. Also, the floors in the main house are broken all over. In one of the main house bedrooms, water from the shower would leak out onto the floor of the bedroom. There are also random stairs all thru the house. In the master bedroom there are 5 sets of stairs. There are 4 beds total between the main house and casita and all were okay, a little hard but typical of the area. There was no hammock outside as shown in the pictures. There is a lot of space in the main house and a small kitchen in the upper room of the casita which was nice. It also had covered parking for a car and was a very quiet and private area. The manager was responsive and the cleaning lady came in twice a week which was also great.
We loved this property. Stunning ocean views, almost 180 degrees from the whales tail all the way to the sunset. We kept the sliding window-walls open all the daylight hours we were home.
All the wildlife came right to the surrounding trees and yard so when we didn't have time to go to manuel Antonio, that was ok!
Our group was 3 families all having kids and while we were under the capacity of the rental, the sleeping arrangement were a little difficult (we needed to make sure all the little kids had access to parents in the night without needing to go outdoors). Having multiple beds, cots, or fold out couches in the bedrooms would have been perfect. As far as I figure, this was the only negative and we were able to work it out in the end.
We were blown away by the 180° view of ocean from inside and outside this property. We loved the observation deck where we could see the waves crashing against rocks while at the same time being in the middle of a beautiful rain forest and manicured garden. We generally love active vacations, but we had a hard time wanting to leave the view and the pool. We were there in June, during the rainy season, and we really appreciated the deep overhanging decks where we could watch the afternoon storms from the hammock and stay dry. We went to sleep every night to the sounds of waves and rainforest. The house has a fun hacienda vibe, including a lovely courtyard. It is big enough with the cute casita to fit 8-10 comfortably. It is not too far from the main road but 4x drive was helpful. It does look a little tired in some places, and there were a few tiny lizards that would come hang out on the high ceiling in the evenings. (They never bothered us.) Neither of those facts meant anything to us compared to the awesome, totally private grounds and view. If a lovely ocean view and privacy are your priorities, this is your spot!
Indra was easy to contact and work with.
Excelente casa, invita a regresar. Vistas impresionantes, anfitriones muy atentos.

Outstanding concierge (Gary), location, pool and view; villa itself does need some repair
The property is situated on a lovely bluff overlooking the Pacific. The views are amazing and really what makes the place worth a visit. The pool is wonderful and the kitchen was a pleasure to make meals in. Gary Garrett (concierge) is wonderful -- very helpful and responsive, despite many, many problems on our end with respect to travel, lost luggage, etc.
The biggest drawback to the place is that seating really isn't conducive to conversation outside. Inside is OK, but outdoors, it's not so easy. The outdoor sofas are comfortable, but all in a row facing the water, so you can't easily "huddle" to chat outdoors. More easily-moveable outdoor chairs are very much needed. The 2 bar chairs on over the upper deck are not comfortable.
The other drawback is that the main house needs some significant repairs. They're apparently "in progress", but in light of the very significant water leaks - especially in the master bedroom - they need to be addressed quickly to avoid major, costly damage to the property.

Amazing property!
This is a beautifully designed home with wonderful views of the jungle and ocean. The warm pool was a delight when we swam watching the beautiful sunset with the monkeys frolicking nearby. With the glass walls open, we enjoyed cool breezes throughout the day. The house is in a very private location. The agents of the owner were extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and reliable.

Absolutely Beautiful spot!
Beautiful house, with gorgeous views of the ocean. Plenty of space for up to 8 people. The area around the house is very fun to hang out in, lots of animals constantly around! Indra & Gary were very responsive and helped the check in/check out process go smoothly. Very clean house, you have to be OK with some gecko friends though!

Stunning Property in a great location
Our crew loved our stay at Puertocito Point. The layout of the property with the main house and the casita was perfect for our situation. We loved the sunrise pool sessions with all of the Costa Rican vibrancy greeting us to start the day.
The management and the service was outstanding, attending to our every question and request. We are excited to come back and stay again next year, and can't recommend this property enough.

Magical Stay at Puertocito Point
I cannot begin to express how wonderful our stay at Puertocito Point was. Everything about the house was perfect! From the moment that we saw the property, all we could think about was how the photos did not do it justice. The house was a piece of Costa Rica heaven and made for the vacation of a lifetime. Alejandro, the property manager, was very kind and did an excellent job of showing us around the property and answered all of our questions about the house. He additionally gave us great recommendations on what to do in the area. If you are a nature lover and are looking for the best possible experience, look no further. This will make for an unforgettable stay and we will forever hold this place in our hearts. We cannot wait to visit again in the future! Thank you, Casa Puertocito Point!

Dam You Puertocito!!......
Staying at this villa has now made it impossible for us to stay at any other location - anywhere. If I was looking for heaven, this is the place. The house is situated perfectly at the end of a ridge on a bluff overlooking a 180o view of the Pacific coastline. The location is ideal - 2 minutes to the highway and 10 minutes to either Uvita or Dominical. The little beach below is an easy 10 minutes down to, but a hefty 25 minutes back up. Yes, the deck repair is a work in progress and some minor maintenance is needed, but this also gives the place a warm and lived in feel. Plenty of dishes and towels and just the right amount of kitchen accessories. We spent lots of time on the promontory decks and pool, both were comfortable and inviting. The only thing that could be added is an additional umbrella on the lower deck - that sun can be searing.
It was a struggle to leave the villa to explore other beaches and attractions, but we did - and looked forward to returning in the afternoon to enjoy the pool and spectacular sunsets. I can't wait to plan the next stay at Puertocito Point!

Fabulous location-definitely would stay there again
Our family has visited the southern zone about 10 times in the last 10 years. We were delighted to find this secluded home with panoramic views of the Pacific soclose to all our favorite spots including Rancho La Merced for horseback riding on the beach and las Ventanas beach for body surfing. Its spacious living area that can be fully open air was a delight after a long day of activities and the casita was perfect for our late teen kids.
The kitchen was well equipped and there is even a good fruit stand a short jog down the road. We can't imagine a better palce for 2 families to stay and will definitely bring more friends to introduce them both to the souterhern zone and this vacation home in particular.
The staff was helpful but not intrusive. The pool was well maintained.

Great location, awesome time with wonderful views
I would do 4.5 if I could. Perfectly located between Uvita and Dominical. Best and closest beach is Playa Hermosa. We loved it. Park in the shade just a few steps from the beach with no hassles. The house is great. The only negative item was the deck. I believe they have been working to improve it but it still needs a little more updating with new boards. The pools is great however had a couple shape corners but wasn't a huge deal. Property Manager and cleaning lady were fantastic. Would highly recommend and would stay here again as long as decking is updated.
Like I said would rate at 4.5 if I could.
