Staff were friendly, nice that we could come and go as we please. We really liked having our own washroom. Although room walls are thin and we did have noisy people next to our room, we didn’t really get to sleep well during our stay.

Stayed in room 317 in the 2nd floor. On entering room seemed fine. The light switches by the door operated the main bedroom lighting on one switch and the bathroom on the other. The main bedroom lighting consisted of 2 bedside reading lights, vertical tubes where the light points downwards, 1 large spotlight pointing down at the desk, a pendant light giving out hardly any light so for decorative purposes only. In the middle of the room was a flush fitting usually used in bathrooms with a blinding bright white light which hurt your eyes when in the bed and obscured the watching of the tv screen. No thought gone into the comfort and use for the guest. A lamp is necessary to provide nice ambient light rather than looking like my Garage lighting! This blinding light should be on a separate switch. Then the next problem, hardly any sleep as there was a constant noise, like a vibrating noise above and behind the bed, it revved up, less for a couple of seconds and revved up, if I nodded off it woke me up. I didn’t realise till the morning that there was no noise in the bathroom. I could have slept in there. A luxury hotel in the lobby and seating downstairs but if those lights are in all the bedrooms I am sure there will be more complaints. On the plus side feather pillows and duvets were nice
