“From the moment you pull in the driveway you get a sense of calm. The landscape is absolutely stunning. You are greeted at the door by one of the owners. They show you around then take you upstairs to your room. The decor was very calming and having its own bathroom in your room is a great bonus. Breakfast was made to order and prepared by o e of the owners as well. These 2 men have created a BnB that they should be extremely proud of. If we ever come back to this part of Ireland, we will 100%……
“Cute place to stay above a lovely pub and on the water. Good value for money. Pros: dog friendly, beach access, beverage tray with sparkling water and tea/instant coffee and a kettle (always nice). Little things that could be improved: there was no full size bath towel, just a hand towel and shower mat, window had been left ajar for fresh air (which is great) but meant that by the time I arrived, there were a ton of knats/midges/little bugs inside and outside the window.”
“The ocean view was amazing! The room was very clean and the sound of the waves all night was so soothing. Staff was very efficient and pleasant! We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, the food was outstanding (especially the toffee pudding!!). Overall àn excellent stay. The only concern we had was the band in the bar, which was right under our room was very loud until late in the night. Otherwise à wonderful stay.”
“We had a warm welcome from Pauline and Chris who were throughout great hosts - happy to help with local visits and places to eat. A lovely setting on a useful through route just 35 minutes from the port.”
“Basic accommodation in a building separate from the pub. My room smelt a bit weird. The shower lacked vigour and could not be detached from the wall. The staff were good.”
“The room was terrible the bedding was old and carpet was so stained and dirty room smelled of cigarette smoke and damp would never stay here again when I asked to be moved to a different room because of the smell I was told to spray some airfreshener as they won't be moving me horrible service”
“Very nice accomodations! Somewhat difficult to find and we had trouble contacting our host with our late check in. I guess that's to be expected. Host does not live in residence. Would stay there again if nothing else was available. Parking is somewhat difficult if you have a larger car.”
“The huts and gardens were fantastic. The huts had everything you needed and were clean and tidy. Loved sitting in the hot tub at night watching the bats! ”
“The best part was a very very comfy bed. Not much else to praise. The property is way up the hill from the beach and bars and it's a rather steep walk. There was a fridge and sink and table setting for 10 but only one drinking glass and only a tiny rubish bin in the bathroom. The bathroom was poorly designed and easily floods and there was black mold. No soaps or anything provided and the towels had holes in them. Also the fan was broken.”
