“I was in the area of Albert, France to tour sites associated with the WWI battle of the Somme in 1916. I thought this place was just wonderful. The room I had was clean and comfortable with a very nice modern walk in shower. The hostess/owner, Muriel spoke English which I appreciated. She did a fabulous job on the breakfast each morning. It's just a couple of miles away from the town of Albert and she told me that there is a factory down at the end of the road that makes parts for Airbus planes……

“The staff were friendly upon check in, the room was small but adequate. We asked about a local laundry service but hotel staff advised they could wash for a fee which was lovely and we were happy to pay. We headed out for dinner and a walk around town, as we were leaving they asked where we would like laundry put when done, I said we could pick up from reception or happy for them to put in our room, they said our room would be fine. “The price was not the cheapest online. I was looking for parking out of town. The disadvantage is that finding somewhere to eat in walking distance was a good 15-20 minutes away. There is only a vending machine. My biggest gripe is the WiFi, it was terrible and as I was stuck for 3 nights to repair my bike the WiFi would have been useful to find solutions. The rooms are small, with no storage and little space to place your luggage. Language was generally the barrier, but Google came to the……

“Having been told there was plenty of parking we arrived to find a car rally had taken virtually every space. When we enquired whether there would be spaces later on our return from going out for dinner we were told we could park on nearby streets, not very appealling with a fully packed car! In the end the rally had left by the time we got back, though why reception didn't say this heaven only knows! Otherwise a perectly functional hotel well postioned for visiting the local area.”

“First of all, the room didn’t resemble any of the pictures shown on the website. Our room reeked of old cigarr and we had to have our Windows opened at all times. The beds were not comfortable and really worn out, and the toilet and the shower resembled more those found aboard ships. The staff couldn’t speak one Word in english, but Google translate did the trick. The breakfast was really simple with limited options. We were not satisfied with the overall experience.”
