Good pub chain hotel. Nicely decorated inside. Clean. Attention to detail poor, particularly electrical maintenance with several switches and connections in poor condition making eg. lights flicker so you distrusted their safety. Staff generally helpful but too rigid about seating in restaurant. Eg due to poor eyesight, I asked for a particular table at breakfast but as the table was already made up for lunch service, got refused. It just needed a change of napkin! Restaurant staff pleasant and helpful but not very knowledgeable about items, drinks, etc. A good hands on manager would have sorted out all the small imperfections.

"This property is great if you want to be close to the Titanic museum. But it is very expensive without offering much if anything. The bathroom was not clean and the water went back and forth from hot to cold. I would stay elsewhere if I sailed out of Southampton. The hotel was okay but charged luxury ..."
