We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights, but unfortunately initially had to split across 2 x 1 bedroom apartments due to a fault identified before our arrival. This was unavoidable, but it did mean we had to separate, and we're in apartments across a courtyard on 2 completely separate buildings. Which as a family of 4 just made dinner, bath time, breakfast etc awkward as we had packed 1 suitcase, 1 wash bag, etc. We did have a 2 bed apartment for our 2nd night (but this obviously in turn meant we had to move all of our things to a 3rd apartment, and meant we were basically unable to unpack for the entire weekend. The 2 bedroom apartment did mean we were all together, but we did notice it wasn't meant for a family. Simple things we didn't notice until using it, and as we only noticed at dinner time and the next morning, it wasn't worth trying to sort whilst still there. However, as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children), elements thatade things harder than it needed; - only 3 dining chairs - only 1 breakfast bowl - only 2 tea spoons - couldn't shut the main bathroom door properly I did raise these things on our departure day, as feel we should have had some sort of apology for it, but I've not had any response. Location was great for our needs, and the apartments were clean, but it was all rather less relaxing that we would have liked.

9.6/10 Exceptional! (163 reviews)
My one night stay was very good, the staff were excellent and very helpful. Be aware there are only 8 rooms in this hotel and no elevator. If you arrive early as an international traveler it may not be as easy to check in vs. a larger hotel with a 24 hour front desk. Otherwise, it was a superb stay, the rooms were very clean, modern, quiet, with nice marble and fixtures in the bath. Staff were very personable and helpful in anything requested that was within their ability to provide. Breakfast was available a few doors down from the hotel and was presented in a very elegant, classy setting. I would definitely consider another stay if I were visiting Southampton, UK. Nice job!

The hotel was handy to the cruise port. It was a 15 minute walk into the main shopping centre. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to use the phone at reception to try and resolve a problem with British Airways as using the phones in the room is very expensive.
