Good breakfast menu freshly cooked. Good staff but could do with another staff member in the evening keeping an eye on reception and requests from guests in their rooms as their in house phone was down.

Room was incredibly clean and spacious. The food was lovely and I could not fault this. However, the customer service needs focus. I’m not sure if it was because I was travelling with a child, but staff were not attentive, and I found the service very slow. The lady serving us in the lounge was polite and friendly, everyone else lacked the ability to smile and provide basic information on the facilities/how breakfast is run. I would recommend this hotel but I do believe the customer service could be improved.

Stayed 3 nights. Refused entry to resturant first night in a very rude and abrupt fashion. ‘It’s full’ there were 5 people eating!!! Out of principal. would never choose to eat the in Pulse resturant. Went to local pubs in Topsham and Woodbury. Treated respectfully, menu choice much better etc.
Room okay though heating / cooling didn't work. Room very hot 33C as agreed by room service staff. Reception staff and room staff great.

Photo in the Expedia ad would suggest that it is an old row home converted. The row homes are from outside the Royal Crescent NOT the hotel. This is a pod style hotel. Wide as our bed is long. Our room was windowless but with all the power indicators on the devices and airconditioner etc meant it ...
