Downstairs bathroom for easy access to all-night fishermen. Less than one minute to the Intracoastal and 5 minutes to East Matagorda Bay by boat. Enjoy seeing unobstructed sunset views over the bay and marine traffic on the Intracoastal from the front deck.

Great visit. Need a no wake zone in canal. Boats are very disrespectful while fishing. Fishing piers needs some attention, some boards are broken by live barrel. But truly a great visit!

I have been renting from Caney Y for more than 10 years and this house is one of my favorites. This is the third time we have rented this house and we love that it has everything thing you need. It is very clean and a great place to fish or just relax. We caught a 16 inch and a 18 inch red fish which we had to throw back but we brought home some crockers and crab. We will be back and highly recommend booking this house.

Great location with plenty of fish when the tide is right. We landed a 31" bull red off of the pier. Everything is very clean. Beds are comfy. Will definitely be back!

It was a bit more dated that it appeared in the pictures and there was no privacy in the bedrooms as the closet is not finished so it does not close the space, but it was clean.

Great house to celebrate our son’s 16th birthday with friends and family! Plenty of room and a great fishing spot. Boys enjoyed the lighted pier and short drive to the beach for more fishing and playing. Definitely will be back…my family already booked for a week in the summer. Thank you for the hospitality!

Great Getaway
This is a great home. We really loved the dock and it's location close to the "Y" is great. We enjoyed watching the sunsets from the porch and catching fish off the dock. Caught enough crabs for a crab boil too. The house was clean and comfortable. It was just my wife and me but there's room for more. Plenty of TVs and internet speed too.

Guys fishing trip
A very laid back weekend with myself and 2 sons a son in law a brother in law and a friend. The house was comfortable for us guys as we are easy to please. Beds were comfortable. We spent most of the evenings out on the dock fishing. Fishing was disappointing but still fun with the guys. If the fish aren't biting we found a bait shop around the corner that had just brought in a load of fresh Gulf shrimp that were huge and delicious along with our steaks out on the patio. A great tv to watch a couple of John Wayne movies in the hot afternoon. We had a Great time! Thank You for the use of your little cabin Craig Pruitt

The property was just like the advertisement very quiet and peaceful. The housekeeper can do a better job cleaning and better sheets for the beds because some sheets was stained, but other than that I had a good time.

My family enjoyed staying at the Bay House. Everyone was pleased that they caught fish off the pier. I was disappointed in the condition of the furniture. Also, there was only one roll of toilet paper left for 5 people. We had to go buy more and that was an inconvenience. The house was clean and met our needs. The management was easy to work with and very thorough in all communications. We always enjoy staying at K. Allen's properties. I highly recommend The Bay House.

Great fishing trip
The location of the house is great! It was a easy boat ride for different kinds of fishing and we caught some big drum of the dock at night that where fun. We also caught a bunch of crabs of the dock. The house provided everything we needed and we look forward to our next stay at the Bay House.

Great quick family getaway
We had 3 adults, a 13, 9 and 7 year old. We didn't feel cramped in the house at all. We feel the homeowner utilized their furnishings with space well. Everyone slept comfortably at night. It rained for an hour each day we were there but there were plenty of games on hand to keep everyone occupied. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. We did run to the dollar store to get foil, toilet paper and paper towels. So when packing, keep some of those essentials in mind to pack. But the dollar store isn't far away if you need something. We didn't have much luck fishing or crabbing. We caught 4 crabs in the traps over 3 days. Lots of croaker and hardheads were caught. The deck space was nice and accommodated us all while fishing. It was nice at night to see the fish in the lights. I would also recommend bringing your own lawn chairs for out there. Overall, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed a comfortable stay. Thanks for having us!

We had a great time at our family weekend.
The house was great. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. You might want to get a blender. Upstairs deck was great, we spend most of our time downstairs. The kids loved your red wagon. The fishermen wished there were some permanent sitting at the pier. Hope to return soon.

Had a great time, place was excellent, and surf fishing was very good on Saturday. Caught 5 keeper reds (20 - 27") with lots of undersize and 3 trout up to 26". really liked the down stairs shower to rinse off the salt water before cleaning all the fish.
