"Quiet, spaceous room which was very clean. The pub served delicious food and there is a fabulous little cafe next door. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back when visiting family again. Exceptional value for money with a good breakfast included. Only slight niggle is that the pillows were thin and not supportive. One is not enough and two is too much. Perhaps they could invest in firmer support pillows and the score for this hidden gem would be 10/10."

"lovely place ,car parking very limited outside main car park close but shared , rooms airy and well equipped ,old sash windows one rattled in wind other sash broken could not open , bathroom very clean and tidy ,. glass bottles crashing into waste bin outside window at 8.15 room 10 apart from that would recommend ."

"The staff were warm and inviting, especially the proprietor Simon. The room was tidy and clean. The best was the 14th Century building with a carriageway entrance for a front door and nary a straight line or level floor board to be found. This is a rare gem. And, strange for such an old building, the best shower in all of Cornwall (hot and high pressure). I got to sample the new Indian cuisine that could soon be available at the hotel. I hope so. It’s excellent!"

"It was a lovely comfy room, easy to get to from the car park. Lovely and clean ensuite. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to help find meals that didn't contain my unusual allergies, and the food was absolutely lovely for dinner. Breakfast was a nice relaxed meal, although some patrons seemed to expect silver service and for their cooked breakfast to arrive in less time than it might take to prepare at home! It just goes to show that you can't please all of the people all of the time. All the staff were polite and appropriately friendly as well as approachable. It was a lovely stay, and I would recommend this quiet place for solo travellers like me, or couples. Such a lovely stay."
