Cute Westside Craftsman, Walk to Downtown, Large Garage, Cruiser Bikes!

Cute Craftsman in the quiet River West area two blocks from the Deschutes River at First Street Rapids park. New kitchen countertops, sink and faucet. Although the home has been remodeled over the years, it still maintains the charm of an original "lunch box" home built by loggers during their lunch breaks in the 1920's. An easy 5 minute walk to downtown or take the river trail for a nice stroll or bike cruise anytime. Enjoy all that downtown has to offer: shops, galleries, restaurants or head out to to Bend's famous breweries or mountain bike trails. The Deschutes River with Drake Park, hiking and biking trails, kayaking and tubing are just a short walk away and Mt. Bachelor ski resort is only a 30 minute drive. Your stay includes the use of two cruiser bikes with helmets and locks, a perfect way to explore the area. In the winter, you'll appreciate the large garage to store your skis, fat bikes, snowshoes and to keep your car ready to go! We also provide riding and hiking maps of the area and would be happy to suggest riding trails that fit your abilities if asked. Bring your kayak and test your skills at First Street Rapids.

The Saginaw home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms so you won't need to share a bathroom-a rare find in original Bend Craftsman homes.

Amenities include a washer/dryer, refrigerator, and TV with basic cable. The smart TV also has internet capabilities to access your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or other subscription services-just log in. Enjoy the Charcoal BBQ and window a/c in the living room during the summer. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and access to the yard. In the winter months, the beds have down blankets with additional blankets for use if desired. There is a desk in the office area in case you need to bring your work with you. There is free high speed wireless internet available for use during your stay.

In the warm months, enjoy the outside seating area and BBQ. The flower bed is a pleasure when in bloom and the apple tree and cherry tree may have fruit for your enjoyment.

The Saginaw Home is kept immaculately clean for all our guests. Well trained dogs that are kept off the furniture during their stay are welcome with an additional pet fee.

Character filled house in an amazing location

We came to Bend for a long weekend and to reconnect with friends. This location is perfect for walking to the nearby parks by the river and to downtown. Easy access in and out of the downtown area. And it was great our dog was welcome too. Thanks so much!

Central location, well stocked and amazing communication

We spent a month at Pat's beautiful home and were immediately struck by how well stocked and prepared the home was for visitors. The covered garage was fantastic for storing bikes and other toys and for ongoing storage and the 2nd bathroom was perfect for our use case. We were able to work and play easily, replicating our home setup....and can we talk about the one block walk to the spectacular river walk? Highly recommend.

Peaceful Stay!

Nice location for our mother/daughter getaway. Peaceful with a lovely scenic area, even some friendly deer. Communication was great and location ideal for walks and access to town.

Great Location, perfect for our stay

We had a lovely stay at the Saginaw House. The home is located is a great location. Home was well kept, clean and comfortable. I was worried that not having central air conditioning might be difficult but it was fine, house stayed cool and we kept the windows open in the evenings. While staying in Bend we also spent some time in Sisters, including taking in the rodeo which was so much fun. The area is just beautiful, scenery every way you go. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. I would absolutely consider staying here again if in the area.

Snowy Perfection

A Girls Trip with besties of 60 years… and a visit with my Nieces one day! It was really perfect… in spite of 8 inches of new snow! It was the perfect jumping off spot to anything you might want to do! The bungalow was spotless… and the backyard great for my dog! I’d stay again in a heartbeat! OHHH… the charcuterie board upon arriving was soooi appreciated!

Cozy stay in Bend

The house is nice and cozy, great area within walking distance to downtown and a great trail that runs along the river. We had our pup with us and he loved the toy and treats that were there to welcome him!

A wonderful stay in Bend

This home was nothing but perfect. The location is close to the downtown area. Also very convenient to hikes and outdoor activities. The kitchen was well stocked and beds were super comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip.

Cozy cottage near the river in lovely Bend neighborhood

This is a delightful cottage in a cute Bend neighbourhood. We had our dog with us and a sweet little dog treat for her and yummy cookies for us were there when we arrived. You can easily walk to a beautiful park on the river and downtown Bend is minutes away. We can't wait to come back!

Great Location

Easy access to just about everything, and within walking distance of town. House easily accommodates up to 4 people, with 2 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. Owner is lovely and very responsive. Not a fancy/stylish place but comfortable and a comparatively good value for Bend.

The adorable home had all the things we needed to be comfortable and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. Had plenty of amenities. Bonus was the dog friendly fenced yard. Nice and quiet neighborhood near the river walkway and close to shops and restaurants. Host Pat was attentive and quick to respond to all my questions. Highly recommend this home. Definitely will stay here again.

Amazing Stay

The perfect house in the perfect location. Well stocked and the garage access was so important. We were here on 90 degree days and the window Ac unit and fans worked great for us. Thank you Pat for everything !

Bend in December

We enjoyed walking down to the river which was only two blocks from the house. The house is perfect with everything spotless and well organized. Our corgi loved the walks to the river as well. Pat was very friendly and even decorated the house for Christmas for us!

Wonderful Rental

This is a cute and comfortable rental property in a perfect location. This home is close to walking trails, a short walk to downtown and within walking distance to an off leash dog park if you’re traveling with your pup. The owner is extremely nice and responsive. Highly recommend staying at this rental while you experience everything Bend has to offer!

Wonderful location in the quaint town of Bend

Our stay in this property was delightful. It had all the amenities I would want in a small property, so my family and I were quite pleased with the stay. The location is one of the best things, being within walking distance of downtown. The property manager was very responsive and friendly, and helped to make this a pleasant experience. Overall, we were very happy with this property.

Our stay was so comfortable. My husband and I slept a sound sleep through the whole night, every night. We typically wake up a couple of times a night. It was a nice neighborhood, too. We walked the river trail as much as we could. We would definately stay again!

This is a really comfortable and thoughtful rental property. Can't beat the location, 10 minute walk (or less) to downtown, including breweries, restaurants, theaters. Very comfortable in both bedrooms, two bathrooms, equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, washer/dryer + cruiser bikes. Loved the snack in the fridge, nice touch. Pat was super kind in her communication. Would definitely stay again!

The Porch

Perfect spot for meet-up e/ pal from CA. (I’m from Seattle) Enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning with coffee watching the kids go go to school dog walkers walk their dogs runners go by. Kids coming home from school in the afternoon, exercisers and dog walkers again with vino. Very convenient location for nice walk along the river to town. Prompt and cordial communication with owner. Newport Market nearby is outstanding as is five fusion Sushi

Bend Rental

The rental property is conveniently located to downtown and the river walk. Also liked the fact that the garage was large enough to accomodate a sedan and a large truck. The second bedroom is a bit small, but for two adults, but works. The kitchen is reasonably well stocked with dishes, but could benefit from more dinner plates and a few more serving dishes.
