The location was excellent and very central to Amalfi. Be aware that walking to and from the hotel can feel dangerous due to the narrow, busy road. While it’s only a short taxi ride into town, walking is often the only alternative.
The hotel was clean, and the housekeeping staff were consistently friendly. Breakfast (€10) was a good value with a nice selection, and since there are few nearby options, I’d recommend having breakfast there.
Unfortunately, our experience with the service declined as the week went on. We were welcomed warmly at first, but by the end of our stay, all six of us felt unwelcome. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, yet the bar offered limited options. The bartender often seemed annoyed, and even asking for ice was met with eye rolls.
The hotel sold us bus tickets when we arrived, then later commented that we were using them too much. We were also told we should have booked directly with the hotel instead of Expedia.ca.
Despite this, our group remained polite and friendly throughout our stay and didn’t let the experience overshadow an amazing trip to the Amalfi Coast.
