Location is near the main railway station. Lots of younger men hanging around at night on the streets, don’t think I would book if I were a group of woman or single woman staying to be honest. Hotel was very good but bathroom was very compact. Room was cleaned daily which was great and it was not noisy considering there are two youth hostels nearby. I would book again.

A great place to stay! Location was perfect for us. Staff was amazing both at the front desk and bar. Loved the rich history of the hotel and wished I could learn the stories and history of the travelers that had passed through this oldest hotel in Munich but loved the mini museum off the staircase. The room was fine and bed super comfy. The bathroom is a bit small, our safe didn’t work and our view was multiple rooftops but we didn’t stay long in the room anyway. Their “in room free mini bar” consisted of two small bottles of water and two small treats - misleading. But, we did get vouchers for the bar which was nice. They share on their sight a 24 hour shuttle service to the airport which is very misleading. They helped get a taxi for us for our return trip to the airport but there is no hotel shuttle and didn’t find out until after we landed and called the hotel to find out how to get the shuttle. Taxi is about €120. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is essentially attached to the main train station, which is a super plus for daily travel and a bit of a minus in the evening where there are some shady characters on the street. The big minus for us was the fact that the bathroom is essentially entirely exposed to the room, with a sliding glass enclosure that does not block sound or sight. We had a superior room but barely any room around the bed so nothing gained from the supposed savings for not having physical walls for the bathroom. Hotel service is great, check in was super easy and fast. If we had to stay in Munich again, perhaps one of the other many hotels near the train station with real bathrooms a better option.

Stayed for 3 nights. Great location , 3 minutes to Marienplatz. Clean room and friend staff. Breakfast is good. You get a cup of hot tea or coffee any time, which is definitely plus

Truly delightful stay at the Platz Hotel. It’s a beautiful and majestic showcasing some Bavarian designs with some modern accents. It’s centrally located in Old Town where it’s within walking distance to major attractions and transit lines. My room was spacious, clean, and had different amenities. Thank you to Peter and the rest of the team for their professionalism, kindness, and being so resourceful. I enjoyed my stay at the Platz and would recommend you staying there!
